Hallo,

it looks like there was a problem while collecting all asset data. Therefore you have got the missing textures and so on.

I recommend you go back to CMP of TS2010. Pick the assets and use the "edit in explorer" function to copy the two assets out of CMP.
Change to the window explorer and copy the asset folders to a location of you choice. After that you get back to CMP of TS2010 and use "revert" to keep the two assets unchanged inside the data base of TS2010.
After that you can close CMP of TS2010.

Now start CMP of TS12 and use "import content" function to import the two copied assets from the explorer into TS12. This should work!!!

If this does not work, send me your mail address and I will see to send you the assets as a rar file.

Good luck.

I love those screens Tume...

Hallo,

thanks for the compliment :-)

The screens showing the progress of my work to update the route and its content for TS12 and future releases. As the result you will find all content updated with better textures and normal maps and season change functionality. Also I updated the route considering the latest results of my research about the area. E.g. back 2006 to 2009 as I created the route I did not know about the sidings at Saltese, Mt. Now I added these details to the route - just to name one example.

Still I will need some month to finish the update, but its on a good way :-)

Thanks TUME!
After redownload all assets with "!" from DLS your route working fine.
I'm strongly wait version for TS12.

Hallo,

here some progress screens from my Avery-Drexel-Route-Update.

Once Elvenor created a set of very nice houses meeting the requirements of TRS2004 until TC3. I used these houses often creating the Avery-Drexel-Route.
These assets used to look nice and has been designed in a way to save on PC-power supporting performance.
Today I created seasonal replacements for these houses.

In hope you can here me Elvenor - I thank you very much for your nice content we all enjoyed very much during the years. I am sure you would have done the seasonal replacements yourself.

Stuff houses beside the yards at Avery,Id - previously these houses used to be Elvenor assets.

I've just announced the testing of several of my routes for testing by other users and I want to know if it'll be alright with you if I could release my version of your route. It still needs to have the track texture done to it, otherwise it's complete. I started in Trainz 2010 and I'm now working on it in Trainz 12. You'll need to get the concrete track, Safetran Signals and Signal detail kit and the light grey track from Jointed Rail's website also. If you want to, I can send it to you and see what you think of it. PM me with your reply.

Hello? Can I get a reply? There's already interest in my version of your route. Sorry about being demanding, but I'd really like to know.

Hello? Can I get a reply? There's already interest in my version of your route. Sorry about being demanding, but I'd really like to know.

Hallo,

please - please I am hurry to write an answer :-)

It is very nice that you ask for permission to release the modified Avery-Drexel-Route. I really can imagine that you worked devotedly at it!!

But at first to your information:
I live in Germany and I work in my job during the day.
About 7-PM (19:00) I am back in my flat and able to work on trainz and to answer something in the forum.

Yes - I can have a look into the forum during the day if I am able to use my lunch time in my office.
Sometimes I don't have a lunch time as I am often around with project members and customers. This was the case today.
Therefore I unfortunately could not answer you just in time.

And even now I just have a brief look into here as I will spend my evening together with my girlfriend. I even had no delay or time to sit back to think about everything.

So please - I don't want to wast your time or let you wait too long!!

I probably can grant you the permission to release the route via DLS. But I signed a contract with N3V about that route back the time as it has been included into TS2010. I just want to be sure I will not do anything wrong with that route and therefore I better ask N3V about the possibility to grant you the permission to release the route via DLS. I guess I will find some time tomorrow to write a mail to N3V. Unfortunately I will not get an respond until next Monday as N3V is situated in Australia and they will be right in the weekend when I will have sent the mail tomorrow.

After I got the answer from N3V I will contact you as soon as possible. I hope this is OK for you!?

Don't worry - I think everything will be OK, but we need to be sure - right.

But one thing I can tell you right now: The release will only be permitted if you use DLS - no other locations. But I guess you did not want to do so anyway.

Yes - I would like to have a look into your route. Do you have a possibility how I can get it?

I just found your mail at Planet Auran. I guess its the right mail address over there so I can mail you tomorrow.

For now, have a nice evening.

I always try to get into contact with the person whose assest I have made changes to before I upload it to the Download Station, if I get the permission.

Your's TUME

Hi Tume,

Hope all is well with you! Recently, I saw a video link posted on YouTube which was basically a series of views of Milwaukee Road Trainz shooting around a route/ map. Nothing unusual about that, but the Loco's and rolling-stock looked different to that available in TS2010. I looked a little closer and found that the content was from TS2006. So, my question to you, is where can I find the Milwaukee Road Bi-Polar Loco and other passenger rolling-stock seen in the video post? I have much of your content already, but cannot find the Bi-Polar's anywhere. Are they still around or did they too go out with the Pacific Coast Extension? :p

Cheers

Rik

@ Rik3801T:

Hallo,

thanks for asking about my stuff :-)
I uploaded my set of Olympian Hiawatha cars onto DLS years ago. You will find it by searching DLS for my content. Just search by using the kuid 82412. Then you will get all of my content selected which is at DLS.
You will not find the B-Polar as I never released this loco before. It will be released later on. Probably you don’t need to wait until I finished the coast division. In the middle of the 50’s the MILW moved the Bi-Polars from Coast Division to the Montana Division after the locos has been refurbished. BTW that refurbishment preformed not even a good thing. After release of my seasonal updated Avery-Drexel-Route (time period 1971-72), I plan to create a further version from it to represent the time period 1954-55. In this very short time you could probably see the Bi-Polars in service beside the Quill Drive Electrics. Of course not at one train but at different. There will be a release of the refurbished Bi-Polar within that route. If anything goes like expected and nothing crosses my plans, this could be done within this year. Don’t expect it before autumn but I will do my best that people can play with it under the Christmas Tree :-)
The older versions of the Bi-Polars will of course have to be released within the right time version of the Coast Division.

You have mail :-)

Hallo,

here some screens from the Avery-Drexel update.
The screens has been taken just east of Avery, Id.

Still I need to create seasonal river splines to update the non seasonal rivers.

Special thanks to Dinorius_Redundicus for the seasonal update of his nice rock boulders.

Hallo Whitepass,

looks like a local extra train crosses the sidings at Haugan, Mt.

Thank you very much for your screen here :)

No I did not miss it!
I have already noticed your new loco. I did not download it right now as I use all the time I can to work at the seasonal content and route update as you probably have already read above.

Actually planned to get in contact with you because of creation of seasonal locos and rolling stock. My intention is to push the season feature as much as I can – because I really like it. I want to use seasonal content exclusively. At the moment I have a collaboration with Auran about that to help doing something (as under NDA we can’t discuss details here). Still I need to do the seasonal update for all of my locos and rolling stock as well. Considering my locos and cars are from TRS2006 times the seasonal update will go hand in hand with some improvements as I need to touch the mesh and the textures anyway.

But I planned to contact you about the possibility to provide you with the required details necessary to update some of your great rolling stock assets and this loco in a seasonal way – after everything is ready. Sometimes – especially for simple buildings and structures – it works if you move the asset mesh and texture files into a summer – folder. After that you just duplicate this folder renaming it into snow – folder. In the next step you need to change the texture file inside the snow folder into a snowy looking texture. Eventually the significant changes in the config needs to be done.

This simple way uses reskin technique to get an seasonal asset which changes appearance within the snowline setup.
But as soon as you want to put additional details onto the asset – like icicles onto the roof – you will need to get back into gmax.
This will be the case for a seasonal loco update as well. Also it sometimes (often) needs a texture rearrangement onto the mesh.

So please give me a note if you are interested in to maintain the season feature in the future - and perhaps (hopefully) for doing some updates on “older” stuff as well.

From time to time I take a train to run it through a updated portion of my route just to see how it looks like if user plays with it. Next time I will take your new loco to do so :)

Have a great weekend.

Hallo,

seasonal update of Avery-Drexel reaches Stetson Bridge and Motor Creek Treste.
Still a few content e.g. the trestle assets, rivers and some dead trees remains in its non seasonal state. But this will be changed soon.
