TTC Discussion

Then the T1 will be first! :D

Not quite. If I do get the pictures now, I'll back them up, but I will not start building the trains until my PC is upgraded. It doesn't neccesarily mean that I'll wait for TS2009.

I have no clue. I've never upgraded my PC before. :o

But let's get back on Topic. :)

Here's a question: which yards are the best? Davisville, Wilson or Greenwood?

Well i seen Davisville, and wilson, but never Green wood. I think Davisville is because they always have a subway parked on the side track, so you can get the shots you need (trucks, doors etc) and it's outside, so you have better light! :D also at Davisville, you have a chance to see an H1, and G1, and other trains! :D wilson is harder because you have to be in the train, and the train is moving, so you would get blurry shots. But it has lots of H5's! :D
And Greenwood, i wouldn't know about...

and a question, if there was a H5-T1 prototype, was there a H5-H6 prototype?
or a H4-H5 prototype?? :hehe: well there is a T1-T2 prototype, so was there a prototype for all the subways?

G1???? lol

GLOUCESTERS????? Dude this 2008!! All your seeing at Devisville is H5's and T1s!! I'm not angry, its just that you might wanna get with the times! it's 2008, not the 50s!:hehe: :hehe: :hehe: :hehe: :hehe: :hehe: :p

lol

@CLRV: I heard that while they're being rebuilt, the H6's are going to be converted to wheelchair accesible like the T1's. Any idea on how they can do that? How can they do it if the H6's have the wide H-Series windows? I read an article on the T1, and it said that because they are wheelchair accesible, they had to make the T1 windows smaller. :hehe:

lmao

haha I got pwned!!! Haha I know that they are in a museum, I just said that they're not in Davisville yard anymore! lol:Y:

Yes it true, the rebuilt H6's are now wheelchair accesable! They have the wheelchair spot, were a T1 would have it. in the front area of the train, or were ever the drivers cab is, and it's behind the first door, on the opposite side of the drivers cab. :)

Sorry for the confusion, i ment the G1 at Davisville, the G1 garbage train!

RT36 Grinding train, ex G1 5068
from here:

it is used as a Grinding train train now.

The Gloucester garbage train is long gone, and was replaced by the H1 Garbage Train, which went bye-bye after a fire too. :'(

Thats something I have to see...if you see one, can you take me a shot please? :mop: :mop: :mop:

PCC event?

A while ago (possibly a week or two) I was on a website that said that in September, the TTC would be holding another PCC event (like the one in the video I showed a few pages back). What's strange is, I can't find the page, and a google search didn't help either. Has anyone else come across this site? If so, does it say what day, what time, what route and what type? (PCC or PCC II, the PCC II being the one found in TRS2006).

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I hate double or triple posting, but if I only edited the previous post, no one would take notice.

um, not sure what site you were looking at
they usually have info on the PCC here http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?showtopic=6333

and the TTC uses it's only two PCC's (4500 and 4549, rebuilt to there original 1951 appearance) on holidays like canada day, labour day, civic holiday, and other holidays like it. (not during the winter though) The one your talking about, in september, is on september 1 (labour day), it runs on the 509 harbourfront route, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (sometimes it wont run till 12:00 pm- 5:00pm, it just depends, (just look at the link i gave you, and look near the date, to see
when it runs for sure)
here are my pictures when i rode it:

P.s sorry for no replies recently, have been busy.... ;)
P.P.s on canada day and civic holiday, they only used 4549, because 4500 is under repairs.

Edit:
Just finished uploading the pictures you needed.;) I have a picture of the trucks, but it turned out bad, because one side of it turn dark, and you can't see anything:(

Hope this helps.:D :)

Darn it. I'm not coming to Canada until the 3rd, so I am going to have to find a different holiday. :( :( :'( :'(

I like your PCC Pictures. I just HAVE to go on one. :D

I also like the subway shots. :D :D :D

EDIT: Is there one of 5796? It seems to me that you mistaken a normal T1 for a T1 prototype. :o
