I understand it perfectly! 2009 ran like crap on my system because I don't have Vista installed! I guess I'll stick with 2006 as it seems to be perfectly matched to 32 bit XP! Someday, when I upgrade to 7, 64 bit I may give 2010 a go, unless they have released 11, 12 or (shudder); 13th by then!

Indeed. Some of the curves in Trainz may end up a tad tighter than they should be, but pale into insignificance at the sharp chicanes coming into some of those stations on the Berlin WOS!

What's the desperation to get the old paws on the latest and greatest? Okay release date has been delayed, surely that's better than the TRS2006 debacle? Seem to recall a rather under tested product released that needed a full CD patch that still didn't correct all the problems. I'm waiting for my DVD version of 2010 but rather wait 3 months and have it run as well as possible than have a seriously flawed product on due date.

So you think they are going to wait 3 months before pressing the discs? If they want them on sale for Xmas they will be well on the way to the shops before then.
I wouldn't mind release being delayed, but course Auran will have them in the shops before Christmas. That's marketing. Anyone with any sense would make sure that as many problems were removed before that, but marketing and good sense probably don't go together anyway.

WOS doesn't appeal to me at all Vern.
I will give Zusi 3 a go, if it ever comes to fruition.
Trainz may not be perfect, but it is the most rounded of all the trainsims.
The reason i have stuck with it for the duration.

I think we deserve an update on this situation as well as a new ETA.

Hopefully you guys are working over the weekend since you have thousands of customers waiting.
The people at Auran might be good at making simulators, but business isn't their strong point. Usually you learn from your mistakes!? If you're dumb enough to miss a release date that you've picked yourself, you could at least be smart enough to officially appologize for doing so...
At the same time it's really amusing to see how loads of people around the forum fail to realise that Auran is trying to make money from this, it's not charity and never will be.
Some forum members opinion are so biased that it hurts. As soon as there's a single bad word about Auran they come charging in giving excuses. Really makes me sick!

Changes in announced release dates are common in the business world.....of course, having no business experience, you wouldn't be aware of that....since they have given the reasons for the delays, there is no need for apologies. It is the whiners who should be apologizing......and yes, some forum members opinions are very biased....welcome to the club....

Don't worry too much about it, this place can be quite hostile at times. They have their opinion but you are not entitled to yours. Just as a matter of fact I think that you are spot on with yours.
