trz04/TrainzObjects/Maps/replace obj nojoy

Hello

After a HD wipe and a complete re-install and update of all software and hardware drivers,TrainzObjects /Maps/any map/will not "replace obj in map"(highlight obj) "F7"......No replacement made..... several maps several single objects.

Any ideas?:'(

What you should try is to go the the content manager an find out what's missing and try to redownload the route, if this does not work try clicking on "Missing depndencies" in the right click bar. After that I have no more ideas but to simply rebuild the lot.

I don't exactly understand you message completely but I think I have a good understanding of you cry for help.

Lets say I want to replace all pine trees in a map with oak trees.


You used TrainzObjs/Maps/Re_place obj/ high light obj/F7 then after a while
TRZOBJ will inform how many objercts were replaced but when I do it I get the message "none were replaced"..

Anyone ever have the same problem and how was it fixed?

Did you install the very last version of TO (version 6.0 build 544)?

Did you make sure the object is of the same 'Kind' as the one to be replaced? If not then it won't work.

Finally, I still sometimes find that a replacement doesn't work, or to be more accurate, after listing all the assets in a map, right-clicking on one asset does not bring up the menu with the required F7/F8 replacement option.

In these cases, I close and re-launch TO, and make sure I display "ALL" custom objects before analysing a map and attempting a replacement.

If all that fails, I don't know what the solution could be.
