TRS2010 Configuration - Simple Looking Problem

Hey guys! I just got TRS2010. Woot. Product key is on the manual, as usual. However, when I first open the program, this box shows up.

Ok, no big deal. I'll just type in my product key, add it, and play. Nope. Says it isn't a valid key. I checked the CD for a number, but I didn't see anything. Can somebody help me out a bit? I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm running it off my Mac with Parallels. Works fine for Flight Sim, should work for TRS.

Also, just on a sidenote, is there anything else I should do for setup? I'm so clueless, haha.

Thanks guys!

I read in another thread that there may be some problem running Trainz with Parallels, but I don't remember where. Perhaps you could search the term... Otherwise; have you registered the product with Auran? I assume you're installed, and I believe the window you show should fill in the number automatically once you are registered with Auran. Additionally, what build are you at, and are you aware of the patches available?

Not sure which build I'm at, but I'll definitely register and see where that takes me. Just hopefully Parallels will be nice and run it for me.

Thanks for the help! I'll get back to you and let you know how everything went.

I have now registered, but it will not fill in a CD key for me. Can't find anything on incompatibility with Parallels, they swear on the product that it will run everything normally. I'm slightly annoyed by it; when I fill in my Planet Auran login on there (See screenshot) nothing happens. If I click "Ok" it just tells me fill in a proper code, which is the one I registered with, correct? The serial number doesn't work when applied to the box, but it registered perfect on Auran's site. (Note serial key is mostly blanked, I enter the real one when actually trying.)

The number you have in the box which said is invalid should start with ( ATRZ ) copy & paste the key from your profile.

I tried, it says it isn't a valid code. I'm thinking I'll undertake installing XP with bootcamp and try it on there. It's gotta be Parallels. If it doesn't work, I'm just going to yoink my Mom's PC and throw it on there. :hehe:

Have you tried copying and pasting the serial number from your Planet Auran profile? This will save time, and help with typos when entering in the serial number.

Could very well be. I've used it before (the Windows version) with mixed results. I now use Virtual Box by Oracle, which is better. But this could be something else...

The issue appears to be network related. The program has to register its self with Planet Auran so it knows the program is registered. If it can't talk to the server, then the serial number isn't going to stick.

Are you running any kind of firewall? Perhaps if you are, the firewall is blocking the program from communicating back to the server.

I'll have to check for ya; Parallels might have thrown something up when I installed XP. We'll see... Tomorrow. When I have my compy.

Thanks!
