trs 2010 merge problem.

Hey folks i just bought trainz 2010 and i trasferd all my content from trainz 2004 over. Now im working on my route from 04 in 10, and i want to merge a new square but the game wont let me. The check mark doestet work. Am i missing somthing? or i cant merge routes made in trainz 2004? Iv been working on this route in 2004 for quite some time and i would like to continue to work on it in 2010. I tryd serching about it but cant find the anser. Thanks for your help! Please let me know!

There are three stages when merging in TS2010. Firstly, you need to select what you are merging (which you have done), the second stage is to use the arrows to select where on the map you want to merge it to (making sure that there are no red squares), then the third stage is layer related.

Is there a red tab on the screen where you select where on the map it goes? If there is, is it the top or the bottom tab?

Its on the bottom, looks like paper stacked (merge Layers) is red. I click it and Route layers and session layers comes up. says error one or more layers have the same name, names must be unique. Im lost.

Ah - I see what's happened. Click on the Route Layer of the route/session you are merging into your current route and rename it to something different. Same with the Session layer.
