Can’t see a specific thread for this, but can someone from N3V please explain why these are only available to Trainz Plus, I.e. subscription customers, and not those who bought the game outright whether direct or from Steam? Particularly as you are actually charging for the content on top of the subscription it seems.
Looking at the screenshots I have to take issue with the quality, given the asking price. The interior views particularly the window frames look wrong, not like a Mark One should appear. I notice there are no screenshots of the cab interiors either - for that price would be expecting detail on a par with what we now enjoy in TSW. How were the sounds sourced? Are they accurate new recordings and mixes or just reusing existing ones from years ago.
And when all is said and done, it’s hard to engage with this type of DLC when the player experience in Trainz remains so basic. Even after all these years there’s still no easy way to set up a player timetable run or scenario and have the AI signaller set the route for you, let alone a comprehensive all day timetable. Trainz has been left far behind in that respect by the other games - even SimRail and Diesel Railcar Simulator.
