TRS 2009 at retail

I bought TRS 2004 and 2006 at my local computer store. Will it be available on the store shelves like EB Games or FutureShop in Montreal Canada?

Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition is the version that is on sale (pre-order) right now. It is currently available from the Auran website only.

You can order with Credit Card or Paypal using the online shop or by credit card or money order using the fax/money order system.

UK and Europe based orders for a boxed DVD copy will be shipped from the UK in December.

Just Flight will not be publishing the World Builder Edition.

Lastly, the Digital Download option not only saves you time but it saves your postage and handling costs as well.

I hope that all helps.

Tony

I'm an AI guy only. I don't drive. Do I only need the World Builder's Edition of 2009? I'm assuming that the WBE edition will be available for download also.

WBE will be coming out in digital download form next week (according to Tony Hilliam), and it will contain a driver module.

Trainz Engineer's edition will be a package containing a better driver module with more new built-in content. Both packages can be installed, and TEE is designed to be an expand-alone, so you can either have one, or the other, or both installed, acting as one program.

Wow!! Sounds like a biggun! Thanks for the info.

But will the game be sold from shops? I don't like buying stuff on the internet.

Eventually yes. In this particular case you should be safe purchasing direct from Auran on the Internet.

If you want to be paranoid, and I am by the way, use Firefox 3 with noscript add on. Also make sure your computer is running Microsoft automatic updates that also runs the Microsoft Malware detector to ensure your machine is not infected.

Any account you use to connect to the Internet should be a limited account, control panel, user accounts, account type that way it is incapable of installing software including any nasties that you happen across.

Thank you John, that actually makes me worry even more ... :hehe: ... I will stick to the old-fashioned, but trusted "buy-it-from-the-local-shop" for the time being. I wonder why the game isn't immediately sold from retail shops. Must be a large number of "impulse sales " lost because of it in my opinion.

I never use the Internet for online purchases so unless available by payment by cheque to local regional supplier as with previous editions, or retail from local software shops I won't be considering it (consider to buy). Maybe better to wait anyway with patch I included on DVD.

Unfortunately the confirmation of these methods of buying seems to have been omitted from the repeated reply by Auran?

I have the same reservations regarding this purchase. Would have been a nice x-mas gift for my kids though. Alas, no such luck if it isn't available.

Hello

If you pre-order from Auran direct, you should have the DVD boxed version before christmas.

"Local" Shipping for TS2009 DVD's

We have arranged to ship DVD's from the UK, USA, Canada or Australia depending on your location. This will ensure wait time to receive your Trainz 2009 World Builder Edition is minimized. Shipping is planned to commence in early-mid December.

Hello Barry

Fax Orders & Money Orders

If you don't have a credit card or prefer to use trusty old mail or fax, simply click on this link to the Trainz 2009 order form. Print out the form, and follow the instructions to either fax or mail the order form back to Auran. You can only order the DVD version using this form.

Ahsan I have used that method a few years ago but but bank charges for bankers draft in Aus currency were excessive.
Last time TC3 ordered direct from the Auran regional supplier by uk sterling cheque.

However not that interested this time around as staring at and juggling with configurations and changing object creation requirements for hours on end is no longer amongst my interests.

It a case of if I see it I "may" buy a copy. If not just no longer interested.

Thanks

Barry

What is it with these commercials? Did you understand what I posted at all? "At this stage, there are no plans for World Builder to be sold from retail stores. Auran gets approximately 25% of the revenue from a retail sale (it varies from 10% to 50%) and so purchasing direct obviously makes a big difference to us." Hmmm, do I understand correctly you choose 0% instead of 25%? Strange way of doing business if you ask me and lose all the purchases that don't want to buy on-line and all those that buy the game on a "impulse"?

Well that is half the question solved which I thought would probably be the position for that aspect of sales.

The second half of the question, will it be available by DIRECT PURCHASE from the UK local Auran country regional supplier. This does not refer to though a shop or direct from Auran. This method has been used in the past.

Hello

I'm glad you got banned, you have no sense of humour and all your posts seem to criticise and distract Auran and the Trainz community.

He has already revealed to Tony that he is the same guy as before who has been plaguing the forum for months.

not me. i like the box and, as the guy said, i like to do impulse. also, too, some games are way overpriced -- like rail simulator -- and i can buy them way discounted at a big chain... cheaper than amazon. the guy that's banned... it's something really, because he's so rational, and maybe it has to do with the hobbiest thing here, with trainz, and most of you are just hobby intellectuals, petit philosophs. that's an unnecisarily narrow gauged road for the flat terrain of your imaginings. hardly any trainzers are interested in operations though, and that's maybe the difference in style here -- your sweet imaginings are kind of like trees in a landscape, and that's nice. the banned one's imaginings are like an intricate switching operation and have to be thought about and not just reacted to.

what is worng buying off the internet,,, i have bought all my trainz from th auran web site,,
