TRS 2009 at retail

Zod.

I'm from Montreal too (Ile Perrot), where are you in Montreal ???

Feel free to send me a private email.

Andre.

not me. i like the box and, as the guy said, i like to do impulse. also, too, some games are way overpriced -- like rail simulator -- and i can buy them way discounted at a big chain... cheaper than amazon. the guy that's banned... it's something really, because he's so rational, and maybe it has to do with the hobbiest thing here, with trainz, and most of you are just hobby intellectuals, petit philosophs. that's an unnecisarily narrow gauged road for the flat terrain of your imaginings. hardly any trainzers are interested in operations though, and that's maybe the difference in style here -- your sweet imaginings are kind of like trees in a landscape, and that's nice. the banned one's imaginings are like an intricate switching operation and have to be thought about and not just reacted to.
Thanks for the laugh, boy is that funny. :mop:

Actually these thoughts seem to me to be those of someone one beer short of falling off his bar stool.....if you read the banned one's posts, there is no mention of intricate switching operations...

you're joking, right? i mean, it was a simile, smile. the banned guy was speaking of intricate concepts and he reminded me of someone who probably uses trainz for more intricate things than looking at passing tree-objects on a smugly confused 'terrain'. anyway, i don't drink. drink and drugs is for kids and i'm way too old for kid.

It was just a simple question will trs 2009 be available through the country regional supplier as with some previous editions? Payment made to the regional supllier not Auran. Apparently with no reply apparently not...however as I am not concerned either way no problem! Barry... Incidentally with viewpoints a lot depends on one's age and health, as things change in this life and we change also.

Please remember that many of the old dinosaurs create the content that makes Trainz so useful.

Cheerio John

Sorry for the delay Barry. What does direct purchase mean? How have you done it in the past? What is the issue with the Auran store and fulfillment by the Regional distributor?

Hello Tony thanks for the reply.
For TC3 I paid direct by cheque in UK to the Auran distributor.

The present method seems just for ordering THROUGH Auran and payment made TO Auran, and Trainz only posted off by the regional country distributor?

Edit. I have trimmed my post down as Mike has been in touch and i will seee what develops as regards the availability of supply.

Thanks

B

Retail or not

All said and done no one knows for now if TRS 2006 will be found on the shelves of a retail store in the near future. Till then I'll stick with reliable TRS2004

While there has been no official mention, I usually have found that whenever people who order CD/DVD from Auran are supposed to get theirs through mail, retail stores get them about 1-2 weeks as well. Takes longer because any company has to send the product through a distributor who sends it to the retail stores, Auran doesn't send it direct to the store. Lack of date could be a distributor issue.

As far as I know, Auran have made a concious decision not to release this version into the shops.

If I am wrong, then could anyone from Auran please correct me.

Merscom version

Looking at Futureshop's web site to see if they were selling any new versions of Auran's Trainz Simulator and came up with a simulator called
'Trainz Railwayz' by Merscom which includes different features like
Trainz Railroad Simulator as a bonus.

Meaby it could be something close to Trainz Simulator 2009

This is not TS2009. TS2009 comes as two parts, World Builder Edition (WBE) which contains all the new code, very few new items, but otherwise all that is needed to create new content, and following it at sometime next year will be Engineers Edition (EE) which allows users to add and run trains, it does not include Surveyor.

WBE will only be available by purchase from the Auran shop and EE will be available from retail outlets at some time after it has become available from Auran, a good reason to buy direct.

Both programs will work stand-alone but will also join to make one fully featured program.

Cheers

Auran's Trainz Newsletter, that I received, annonced that Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition would be going on sale at retail commencing June 2009
I hope to find it in store soon here in Montreal.
