A bit unrelated but

Since I purchased both T:ANE & TRS22 thru steam, And bought DLC thru steam, I bought alot of Jointedrail Content listed its for TRS22 but it can also be downloaded in T:ANE which saves me alot of money, but since my computer got downgraded, TRS22 started to get laggy in alot of routes in open and worsens when I record videos, and Im planning to delete it 1st and redownload it after my computer is properly working this time (Will be fixing it in the future, but we dont have the money yet) now heres the question, after deleting TRS22 will the DLC be wiped in T:ANE, like its deleted because the DLC is marked for TRS22, but works in T:ANE but its gone after deletion, but remains in the library until I redownload TRS22?

Short answer: No — uninstalling TRS22 will not remove or deactivate any of your Steam‑purchased DLC in T:ANE. Steam DLC ownership is tied to your Steam account, not to the TRS22 install folder.

Long answer: Each Trainz version keeps its own separate data folder and its own DLC containers. So when you uninstall TRS22, only the TRS22 DLC files get removed.T:ANE’s DLC stays exactly where it is and keeps working normally.

Even if the DLC is listed as “for TRS22,” Steam doesn’t enforce version‑locking. If T:ANE can load it, it will continue to load it.

Your Steam library will still show all the DLC as “Owned,” and when you reinstall TRS22 later, Steam will simply redownload the TRS22 copies again.

The only way you’d lose the DLC in T:ANE is if you manually delete T:ANE’s local data folder.Uninstalling TRS22 alone does not affect T:ANE at all.

So you’re safe to uninstall TRS22 now and reinstall it later when your PC is upgraded.
