TRS 19 - Program Files?

Help!

I first installed TRS 19 in January this year. the read out following the installation was:-

C:Users/User/AppData/Local/N3VGames/trs19 - the trs19 folder contained: 1. buildvty6j31m1 and 2. userdata-redirect-map.txt

Folder No 1 and its sub-files contained:-

packages----------------------------47.8 GB------47,244 files
cache--------------------------------32.4 GB
Libraries-----------------------------1.63 MB
asset cache--------------------------125 MB
assets tdx----------------------------98.6 MB
Keystore.tdx-------------------------632 KB

Following a total 480GB SSD 'D' Drive failure on 20 August, have just reloaded TRS 19 with the following readout:-

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\N3VGames\trs19 - 1. user-redirect-map 2. build gnge2v5i1 TOTAL FOLDER SIZE - 209MB

Also

C:\Program Files\N3VGames\Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 TOTAL FOLDER SIZE - 13.4GB

1. I have no recollection of a separate 13.4GB program file in the original January installation. It's content appears to have been included in the build folder as "packages".

2. I have not yet loaded any of the routes/assets supplied with the August TRS UK package. I imagine this will boost the 13.4GB file size.

3. The disparity between the January and August file contents and their respective size pose the query - which is the correct download format?

4. My ultimate aim is to leave the userdata-redirect-map file in the C:\- folder and move the rest to prepared folders in the new RAID 'D' Drive.

5. Observations and suggestions on the safest way forward will be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Basically, Everything built-in is stored in the program directory. This includes the more than 4GB of files that comes with the installer and the stuff that the program downloads the first time you run it. If you purchase more DLC from the store than it is also placed in the packages folder of the install directory. So maybe you bought more stuff between the first install and the second install.

All the UK content you get each month is always going to be installed as packages. No way to change that.

Stuff you create yourself or download from the DLS is stored in the Appdata folder. There are instructions for moving the contents of the appdata folder to a new location on the Install screen of the launcher. Again this folder grows rapidly over time.
