The entire project will probably contain about 4-5 different routes throughout the Tri-state area (NY, NJ, and CT), including the most well-known Northeast Corridor from Trenton through NY Penn Station to somewhere in CT. Heck, I might even do the Amtrak "shuttle" route between New Haven and Springfield. The plan is to make and release them separately, then merge them together into one giant layout later on. Of course, I wouldn't expect the project to be anywhere near finished for at least a few years. Hopefully by that time, most people will have computers that would go through graphically intensive games such as this one like a hot knife through butter.:p

Can you tell me where I can find this track texture? Thanks in advance.....

BTW, Your new road look excellent.....

This is a bit off topic but it has to do with the line.
Did you see the Pacific Limited Excursion train that ran from Hoboken all the way to Bath,NY yesterday(August 5)?

Thanks. About the track, that was made by George Fisher (gfisher). Search for "132lb MBTA" or something like that on the DLS and it should show up. Or if not, look on www.uslw.net. Once there, go to downloads, surveyor objects, and it should be right there.;)

Thats pretty sweet mate, wish i could do that  Good luck with the texturing, is that that harder or easier then making the model?

Trust me when I say this: if I didn't have to texture it, I would just leave it like it is. So yes, in most cases, texturing is more of a PITA than making the mesh itself. But I try not to complain because when done properly, it's more than worth it in the end.;)

He's just being prototypical. The real route is now closed for possibly months due to washouts caused by Hurricane Irene. They are using buses from Port Jervis to Suffern I believe. ;)

As of right now, The MTA/NJ Transit is running express buses between Ramsey-Rt17 Station and Harriman (which is my station :p ).
There is also a bus service from Rt17 to both Sloatsburg and Tuxedo.
From Harriman, there is train service to Port Jervis and all points in between.

There are washouts between Harriman and Tuxedo, Tuxedo and Sloatsburg, and major (1000ft) washouts between Sloatsburg and Suffern.

It's definitely going to be a while before "my" line is restored, but I have heard there is talk that they might double-track the line once service is restored, so we'll see what happens.

And trainzpro, The route looks beautiful, so keep up the fantastic work! :D

The real route may be closed for God knows how long, but my route is still up and about. It's just that I have important things to take care of IRL. I'll still be working on the route and try to update as often as possible. So far, I managed to get the "new" Wyckoff Avenue overpass in the game, which has yet to be completed. There's still plenty of custom content that I would like to put on my route.

Until then...

The area between Suffern and Sloatsburg is about half finished, but I figured it was about time to post some more shots. This is probably my second most favorite part of the route behind the Moodna viaduct.
