TrainzUP 2TE10 won't go.

May it be, an other train in your map has derailed while you started session? There is a bug in the script, if any train on the map derails, the script stops its work. So make an attempt to start it at empty route.

Will the start/stop locomotives rule not work with them
no, this rule isn't supported.

PS "автомат управления" (the switch at the middle box under the control board) swould be in on state in both sections, not only in forward one. Also while squeal sound or red light on the control board, press space.

G'day TRam_

I did what you said, no trains except the 2TE10. No derailed trains.

Still not working. :(

Cheers! :)

G'day!

@TRam_ Did exactly what that video said. No improvement. The locomotive just sits there without the throttle on the HUD rising when I turn the wheel in the cabin. :(

EDIT: 2TE116A starts but not B.

Cheers! :)

Rastis,
Why not use another 2TE116 loco, I think (say this because I've just re installed) it's 2607 A+B I use most, 4 of them at the head and it looks like a steam loco with all the smoke.

Rastis,
I've downloaded the loco to try it but I'm missing the couplers kuids 360256:100024/100025 and, so far, can't find them. Where did you download them from please?

Type the kuidnumber in Google and you'll come out at many russian sites. When on a russian site use Google translate to read. Mostly if you found a thread where the missing kuid is offered the file is deleted. Search again and again. I found them after many searches and have everything I need that was missing. Some kuids are in a big rar or zip file. You have to download and unpack. Mostly it is one big cdp file whith lots of kuids in it that are useless for you. Remenber what the cdp has installed in trainz and then delete the kuids you don't need. This seems te be the only way to get your missing kuids.
And beware, you need a good virus and spyware detection program to!

I spend many hours to get that bloody 2TE10M to run but so far no luck. I have them all from TrainzUP. There is one that can drive the way you want. I changed the config.txt of the other locs to get them running. Problem is you have to change the scripts to.
On other russian sites there are also 2TE10M locs you can drive without cabmode but they are not so detailed as the ones on TrainzUP.

Better try the 2TE116 locs, they all have a nice startmenu with cool sounds.
I've changed the smoke of them. First you hear the start engine running, then when the diesel starts, a lot of thick black smoke is coming out for a few seconds.
When the engine runs the black smoke goes to a lightgray and stays that way like a stationairy run. When moving the throttle to drive the smoke increases again.
When the loc stops the stationairy smoke comes back. When shut down the engine the sound and all the smoke is gone.
I would like to have that on every loc in Trainz. It's just so focking stupid to have all the engines running of every loc on the board when they do nothing.

----------------

When you can start one of the 2TE10M locs, just uncouple them and try to drive with the one that runs. They don't need to be coupled to drive just one.

They are by daemons, you need the cdp named zapcshasti-2Te116.

Thanks fran1 for the info. What I did was substitute some other couplings to get it in game.

I have discovered the following:
In DCC mode nothing happens except the speed control just flickers and returns to zero. If however I select the Drive function in the Driver pop-up, the train starts very slowly and takes about 13 minutes to get up to top speed (74mph) and equally long to stop. I still think there is a problem with the DCC spec in the engine file and will experiment. However the failure to start in ordinary DCC is not a problem there, as substituting an Auran engine file (SD40-2) produced no change although the acceleration was much more normal in Drive.

G'day!

@teddytoot, all dependencies should come with the 2TE10 on TrainzUP.

Cheers! :)

Jake.

Rastis,
Which one did you download ? I've downloaded all the files for two so far (2TE10M-3141 and 2TE10M-3438) and neither has the missing couplers.

G'day!

I downloaded all the updated ones. They're around the first few pages.

Cheers! :)

change ends

i have this loco and would like to know is there an english operating manual for 2TE10m?

and futhermore what do i have to do to change units to drive eg. after an engine run round?

It doesn't exist, unfortunally. This loco has never cross the border of ex-USSR.

By the way the algorithm of its startup is close to 2TE116. The link of the exaple video is on the previous page of the forum (with simple difference connected with the script upgrade - the "machine control" ("автомат управления") lever, should be switched on in both sections; it is situated on the central upright of the control panel).

what do i have to do to change units to drive eg. after an engine run round?
watch those video till the end.

G'day!

Sorry to bump an old thread but...

Still no luck in getting the locomotives to move. I've watched the videos over and over, following the exact same procedure, and the locomotives still simply refuse to move.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Jake.

Have you switched this on both sections?

most of viros have been filmed before this amendment in the script.
