Hi is anyone playing this Trainz 2010 on Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (build 7600), 32-bit?

installation was ok even the after check was successful but as i pressed start a window appeared saying Updating Trainz Asset database ,it remains for several hours but nothing happened and i had to exit ,any help please?

i had this systemrequirementslab page and made a run test of Trainz 2009 to see if i can play it,but the scan told me that Unfortunately Windows 7 was not available when this product was released, so it is not OFFICIALLY supported. In some cases if the product runs on Windows Vista, it may also run on Windows 7. Please review the publisher’s website for more information.

so think that this Trainz 2010 cant even play on my pc?

trainz 2010 on windows 7

Im runyou ning the above on windows 7 64 bit. surveyor is a bit cranky but drive is as smooth as anything. im not a great tecky but have you tried running in xp compatibility mode. cheers

well i run 06 in windows 7, it cmp that updatting the file from the d/l station, you can alway it the esc key to make it stop

It works fine under Win7 64-bit Ultimate.

Install and run as Administrator. Takes care of any saving issues there may be there.

There shouldn't be anything different with Enterprise edition other than the licensing requirements.

but why im havin that Updating Trainz Asset database,
now seems gathering some info, had some bars up and stopped, seems before ends that i cant play it

anyone knows whats this?

thanks

I run 2010 on windows 7 32 bit both on a laptop and a desk computer with no particular problem.

What build number does your opening screen show? I wonder whether you need to update with the patches which fix some things.

The database update can take a long time the first time or two, and the on screen display is not very helpful, have a look with windows Taskmanager to see whether the program Taedemon is busy. Let it stop running before you exit otherwise it will just start over again next time you load up.

Have you given the Auran programs access through your firewall?

I have 2010 on my Win7 32-bit machine with an very high-end video card. No problems to note other than ones addressed by patches from Auran. The first few database updates take quite some time to run but when they are allowed to complete, the next ones are much shorter.

hi M8s now is ok,but in the main menu noticed me that The Trainz build is out of dte, what update should i use, there so many in the forum?

Thanks any help?

Thanks

There are a host of patches to get you up to 44088.

Depends on your current build number-see a list with links in the "Auran Announcements" forum at the top of the forums, under "Hotfix" (and they are for 2010 even if it says 2009......)

I'm running TS2010 successfully across multiple computers with Windows 7 in 32 and 64 bit modes. Rebuilding the TAD does take a very long time, I know from experience as I found out 3 days ago, when I thought "I'll play Trainz while the belly dancers are dancing at Uni", but I found out that the TAD was rather damaged and needed a rebuild. On the system I was using at the time (Pentimun M Dorthan 1.6ghz processor, 2GB DDR RAM, Geforce FX5200 32mb video card, 160GB Samsung spinpoint drive) and it took in total, 3-4 hours to rebuild. And that was on and off the socket with the CPU dancing between 600mhz and 1.6GHz, oh my trusty little Toshiba Portege M200 tablet PC, except when it comes to Trainz.
