Well it would depend... Have you driven a real train?
Hi All
Just a couple of notes. We are definitely continuing with development of Trainz, and have no plans to stop this any time soon!
However, right now, things are on hold due to the Christmas/New Year break.
As to the other simulators in our store (Simulator Central), we are simply publishers/retailers for these, we are not the developers of them. Some may seem a little silly to some people, but there are those who enjoy them, same as railway simulators seem silly to a lot of other people (it should also be noted that the farm and ship simulators now have a fairly large community).
Regards
So the entire basis of this thread was based on BS, which is what I thought. It was just an opening to start one of these Railworks is better than Trainz rants that the RW people like to pull periodically. There will almost certainly be another thread just like this coming up shortly.

Bob, it's great we have a confirmation from Zec. Who are these RW people you rant about? Me? I know nothing about RW, I was curious as to if others had delved into it, that's all. Then the rest flowed from there. The question was innocent in itself, and was borne out of reviews and threads on other forums. Where better to ask for a confirmation or opinion other than here? You have issues that this forum will never fix. Just because someones, opinion, someone's post or someones information does not sit right with you does not give you the right to lambaste them, accuse them of gossip mongering, or whatever your state of mind feels like throwing out there. It's a good job they don't allow guns in here or I would be dead by now. Try some cannabis, a Xanax or a pint of sweet ale, breathe in and relax, life is good!
lol all so serious! RRSignal, scroll back and read Zec's mail there buddy. NV3 don't consider us rail simmers any more important than the street cleaner simmers. We are just another silly anorak market to be appeased. " Should have known better" now that is the scary bit, someone show me the door to the non - conformist forum section, I must take 40 lashes!

Seriously? That's a joke, right? It's not intuitively obvious that dragging 10 loaded hoppers up a 2% grade is going to require more tractive effort than 10 empty cars? It's not intuitively obvious that it's going to require different handling because of the difference in weight? It's not intuitively obvious that coupling onto 30 cars is going to drastically change the way the loco responds? I'm beginning to understand why they made DCC mode in the first place.![]()
Conspiracy theories?????? I think that's stretching it a bit even for you. I merely repeated what I read elsewhere in a mire of posts on other sites. I was wrong it seems for now, development is on hold, I guess they were working on the lawnmower release to compliment the farm and urban garden sim. I wonder could the lawnmower sim be a conspiracy theory too? I guess so, I could be wrong though, and that would be another flaming thread soon.
Oh and I was never a hippie, and from what American News stations show here in Europe, all the crackpots are homegrown Sir! Yikes, lash me again, another conspiracy theory!
So far, you don't seem to be able to do that, so frankly, I think you just imagined it all.
Well Bob whatever works for you. I read that development had stalled due to other interests
Ron White. We should make a rule, if you drive in DCC mode you shouldn't talk about Trainz physics because you don't have a clue, if you don't understand that railroad cars are really really really heavy you shouldn't talk about physics for any trainsim. When it comes to mass times velocity and objects in motion and force required to overcome inertia and friction, take my word for it railworks don't have it. For me controlling heavy mass is the whole point of a train simulator, ergo railworks is not a train simulator because it doesn't simulate that.
Well Bob whatever works for you. I read that development had stalled due to other interests, as is the case in many games / sims on sites everyday, some are true some are not. Zec did confirm development was on hold, so that may have leaked out to rival sites and went from there, whether it is Christmas break related or not - it's no biggie really, sims evolve, some become discontinued like Microsoft Flight Simulator, which I own every single release of. The troubling thing is how much abuse a person is left open to by asking an innocent question, some seriously screwed up people in this forum - the content of some of the pm's I received are quiet shocking to be honest, and these are from supposedly grown men of sound mind and good standing. If I was a teenager and received that kind of crap it would be a sad reflection on some members here.
