The RUPTURE Is comming !

Local newspaper had a good (ie funny) article about the re-schdualing this morning. Thier take is he didn't get enough "take" (think $$$) from the first one. Mans an idiot (but apparently he is gonna be a rich one).

Hi George:
Had my 502 HP Boss Hoss up to 120 (chicked out above that, lol). I went to the national convention one year and saw 2 with 615 cu in Donovan racing V-8s in them. Thats around 950 HP with a 1150 CFM Holly. Then there was the one with 1500 HP without nitrous oside. He was running a 565 cu in Hemi, two 1150 cfm hollys, and an 871 blower on top of that. Needless to say it isn't practical. Show bike natch. Looks neat but can't really drive it anywhere and you have no normal gas tank as the blower stack sits there. Just the 2 gal reserve under the seat. There is supposed to be some guy out west with a license tag that sez 265 MPH but I kinda wonder about that. He might have the horsepower to pull the gear ratio but no tire I know of that will fit a Boss Hoss and stand up to those speeds exists. My 502 with a full tank and me on it weighs 1800 pounds, is decidly top heavy, and has all the slow speed handling of a drunk. Great on the highway (I rode it to the rallys in Myrtle Beach, SC and Laconia, NH) but around town its a tank. Whats really fun is grabbing a handfull of throttle. Really far away gets really close really quick, lol. Sounding like a rail job after the burnout at stop lights is fun too (no mufflers at all). Well in California it does but its really a catalytic converter. Looks like crap too I might add.

Sorry about the off topic stuff guys but George asked (and I can't resist talking about my bikes, lol).

So he has now changed it to October 21. Can we move Christmas to September 25. That way I wont have wasted my money buying presents early. This guy needs a new jacket with long sleeves so that he can hug himself.

Yeah - the one with the sleeves that tie in the back in particular. Then put him in a padded cell and throw away the key. Remember that old rock-n-roll song "There comming to take me away"? It should be his theme song (and it won't be the angels of the Lord doing it either, lol).

More foolishness has been done in the name of religeon then all other reasons combined.

I'd like to see one of the Sunday morning political talk shows schedual him for interviews the day before and the day after. See what he does.

If all the news media would simply ignore him he'd drop out of sight. Its all about publicity (and money or course).

October 21

Ok some Priest says that his math was off and it is going to happen on Oct. 21 and the World gets blown up 4 months later...... WHAT A WACK
:o  :D :hehe:

Actually I think he is some sort of self annointed preacher (not to mention self-delusioned). The again p[erhaps he should go back to school (starting at Kindergarten) and try to get a brain again (and perhaps be better at math, lol).

Harold I've-been-Camping-in-the-phyco-woods

My dad is a priest for a church and this is what he said:
"We don't know the day or time"
So Harold Camping (read title of post for joke:hehe: :hehe: :hehe: ) created this huge fail in American history by announcing 5/21/11 was the end of time.

The press down under are reporting that this self professed "luni" preacher has received over 100 million in donations since his prediction. I don't think he's a "luni" at all. What an incredible way to make a fast 100 million bucks. I just wish I had thought of it first... :hehe:

The "luni" ones are the millions of people that made donations to this shyster... :o

Now I wonder how many other "so-called" preachers are going to come up with "dates" that the world will end, to get rich. (it's all about the money, suckers)... :udrool:

"Unfortunately, "the gullible just keep getting more gullible" and shysters like this chap will keep taking advantage of them...

(Now I'll bet you dollars to donuts that he won't be donating that 100+ million to charity) !!!

Cheers, Mac...

The big picture

If you really look at the overall topic of a Rapture, he now say's that it was a "silent" Rapture.

Keeping all religeous beliefs out of the topic, and this forum is best.

What it really shows that people, throughout the entire world, reacted in a very loud, negitive, angry, way to warnings and rejected belief.

Most of the world showed great anger and hostlity, making jest of a very serious topic, that some day may happen.

Maybe it will not happen figuratively ...

But after the date passed, a loud rapture of rejecting beliefs in general, was heard worldwide, and that shouting viewpoint of millions of people rejecting belief, and that was not silent at all.

And that shows how distant many have become from each other.

The prediction of a specific day and hour was a bit ludicrous.

But this shows how many people do not believe, and are ready, willing, and poised to angily lash out at others.

We should all live everyday like it is the last, and do right things toward one another, and not be unjust and ridicule a belief.

But I certainly wouldn't give up all my worldly possesions for the cause, but if it ever does happen we all will lose every worldly posession, in the wink of an eye.

Joplin MO and Tuscaloosa AL lost everything in 15 seconds ... I pray for them

I mean, cascaderailroad, if I'm reading what you're saying correctly, I have to put a little objection here. This guy and his flock spent millions of dollars to put the message in as many people's faces as they possibly could that the world would end on May 21st. Now I read that he says it WILL end on October 21st; not metaphorically, but really will end.

I myself have driven by these enormous billboards that each cost incredible amounts of money and tell me that the world was going to end on May 21st. That's not a "silent" way to go about things, so I also can't stand in judgment of people who are not "silent" in return.

The prediction of a specific day and hour was asinine, and remains asinine, given that he now guarantees October 21st as the literal end of the world.

But here you have gotten to my main problem with this preacher. He and his followers have just invested at least millions, and some say over $100 million, in a false prophecy. Tell me: what good, what "right things," could that $100 million have truly done for the world? How do you think Jesus (or any of the historically great spiritual leaders, for that matter) would have wanted that money invested? That part kind of sickens me.

Never mind the millions of dollars, and the person preaching, and the followers ... that is all external stuff.

The big picture was: What happened before and after, that it showed how many millions do not have belief, and wholeheartedly reject belief.

I believe I understand what you're saying. However, millions of dollars by themselves may mean nothing materially, but it's the fact that the money can allow us to

which is the big picture item here, in my opinion. Any time you have a set of people, some of whom lost their life savings, I believe it is a fair question as to what good that money could have done in the USA and elsewhere.

IMHO.

Jay

** P.S. I have not heard of the Preacher's plans, but it would influence the opinion that I have stated if, for example, he were to refund the life savings of the faithful...or maybe set up a foundation to contribute to worldwide charitable organizations.

I just read that Fox News article that Euphod linked to, and this preacher is a total fake. Us Christians are still here on Earth, so the Lord obviously has not taken us off of the world yet. That preacher says that the Earth will be obliterated (which means totally destroyed) on October 21st. Where does the Tribulation days and Antichrist, which will be in existense on Earth for the unsaved on Earth once the saved Christians are taken off by the Lord, come in? Basically, this guy is saying that the Earth and the unsaved will all be destroyed immediately after us saved Christians are taken away by the Lord, with no time for the Tribulation days or the Antichrist. He is a total false prophet! Not to mention that the Bible says that not even the angels in Heaven know that day, but God only. End of story.

Regards.

If I wanted to hear what Fox News has to say, listen to a bunch of right wing Christian comments, or a bunch of Tea Party crap, I would certainly go to some other forum...not this one. It's supposed to be about Trainz, not your personal politics and beliefs. Zip it!

Cheers,
Fred

It appears this thread has run it's course. As has been pointed out in the thread, politics and religion are best discussed on other Forums, not here.

Cheers
