Local newspaper had a good (ie funny) article about the re-schdualing this morning. Thier take is he didn't get enough "take" (think $$$) from the first one. Mans an idiot (but apparently he is gonna be a rich one).
Hi George:
Had my 502 HP Boss Hoss up to 120 (chicked out above that, lol). I went to the national convention one year and saw 2 with 615 cu in Donovan racing V-8s in them. Thats around 950 HP with a 1150 CFM Holly. Then there was the one with 1500 HP without nitrous oside. He was running a 565 cu in Hemi, two 1150 cfm hollys, and an 871 blower on top of that. Needless to say it isn't practical. Show bike natch. Looks neat but can't really drive it anywhere and you have no normal gas tank as the blower stack sits there. Just the 2 gal reserve under the seat. There is supposed to be some guy out west with a license tag that sez 265 MPH but I kinda wonder about that. He might have the horsepower to pull the gear ratio but no tire I know of that will fit a Boss Hoss and stand up to those speeds exists. My 502 with a full tank and me on it weighs 1800 pounds, is decidly top heavy, and has all the slow speed handling of a drunk. Great on the highway (I rode it to the rallys in Myrtle Beach, SC and Laconia, NH) but around town its a tank. Whats really fun is grabbing a handfull of throttle. Really far away gets really close really quick, lol. Sounding like a rail job after the burnout at stop lights is fun too (no mufflers at all). Well in California it does but its really a catalytic converter. Looks like crap too I might add.
Sorry about the off topic stuff guys but George asked (and I can't resist talking about my bikes, lol).
Ben
