4014's final trip of 2019: The Great Race Across the Southwest
Socal look out! 4014 is visiting Los Angeles, along with Las Vegas, Tucson, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, Marshall, Texas, North Little Rock, Kansas City, Missouri, before returning to Cheyenne via Denver. 4014 will also be pulling one-way mainline excursions for the Rail Giants Train Museum on Saturday, October 12th from West Colton to Barstow over Cajon Pass with a passengers returning by bus, and on Sunday, October 13th, from Barstow back over Cajon Pass to West Colton with passengers returning by bus. Tickets start at the low, low, low price of $350. It left Cheyenne on September 27th and will not be back in Cheyenne until exactly two months later, November 27th. As I type this post, it is in Provo, Utah, heading towards Las Vegas.
