Sorry .. not quite with you DA.
Do you mean post them to the DLS? .. if so thats not a problem.

I would also be happy to post them on the TRAINZONE website as well.

all the best

WOW! Your Murchison layout is fantastic. Are you a computer content designern? You should be a Video game Designer in environments for Auran. you'd be really good at it. also. is each line depicted fora certain railroad and also how do you get all those way bills fulfilled that has to take at least 7 hrs to get halfway done!

P.S. can you give me some advise for a norfolk and western layout i am now working on? its 1/3 the size of yours but i need to know how many towns, scenery, etc? Anyways GREAT JOB!

Very nice work Sirgibby.
Can i ask of a small favour though?
May i see how you built that small port in the second-to-last screenshot?
I am quite interested on this, if you wouldnt mind :)
Thanks,
Sean

Thanks for he compliment. No I am not a computer content designer ... more a hobby artist that enjoys building layouts

I guess my advice would be

1: take your time and aim for quality
2:
- First pass - Build the whole layout terrain and texture (try and use a DEM BASED terrain map - it doesn't need t o be a real railroad but you should try and build on real terrain)
- second pass - lay the track and look for ideal terrain space for your yards
- Third pass - do the main scenery item laying and yards
- Forth pass - add the fine detailing
- Fifth pass - cameras and sessions
3: Aim to complete the layout ... even if it means coming back to it ... it will get a little boring but when finished you will be well satisified

i need to know how many towns, scenery, etc?

If it is a fictitious layout then aim to place a different cameo scene of some nice selected items not to far apart (this keeps layout interesting)
As far as the scenery goes .. add as much as you computer can comfortably handle

have fun
Michael
