The Alabama & Southeastern RR WIP Thread (Large Screenies)

Keep this thread on topic please, I don't like flame wars especially not in my threads, and I'd rather just keep it calm. Not a whole lot has been going on with the SD40-2, but it is progressing. If I didn't have homework it might've gotten done by today, however I'm setting the probable completion date for tomorrow.

I made a&se rsd-5s #94-96 gonna need permission to release from n8phu

Good work ns guy! The RSD5s were part of the original A&SE fleet and used on the hamlet mine pull until 1994 when they were all retired. One still remains at a museum in Birmingham,Alabama right next to the A&SE main!

NO need for permission....if it is a blank engine and on the dls, your good to release it on the dls.

I can't remember us having RSD5's... I remember having C425's and C420's, but I guess I can add RSD5's as well. Oh, and all of our alcos are pulling their guts out on the P&TC, none are in museums.

Sorry pal, none of our alcos were maroon. Most were retired before 2000 and they were all in P&TC green & black by 2005. 2523 was the only one to come close, she was primed and ready, but she was retired before she got marooned. 2523 was a C425.

Ah I see darn would've been cool to see one.

The alcos probably looked sharper in P&TC green & black than they ever did black with the maroon nose or the maroon and grey. I'll have to make one and show you what they look like today, every now and then a P&TC unit will slip past the interchange and make its way into Autumnville, if you look in the early pages of the thread you should be able to find a shot of P&TC GP40 4041 laying over in Autumnville.

Edit: Looks like that shot was never in this thread, so here it is. Bear in mind that this is a pretty old shot.

Edit of the edit: I can't find that shot either! So here it is in railyard:

If you want to tackle a Division or a mini route, jut say the word and I'll hook you up with one. We have Conrailfan's Hamlet Branch, I need to lay some track for NorfolkSouthern9708, he's getting the Squirrel Creek Branch, I can easily find a route for you as well.

cool sounds great I'd love to help with routes I can also do buildings and scenery too. Of course I'll also do skins if you need me to.

A&SE Cassava Branch for you NSguy. Runs east from Montevallo to a small you-name-it town, it's about 13 mile line with a few industries here and there and a handful near the turnaround point at the you-name-it town. I didn't really have anything in mind for the Cassava Branch, so just go your own way with it, normally I'd lay the track for you but I have enough of that to do and I don't have track plans for the branch, so just do your own thing and have fun with it.
