i would go with trainz, cause i have msts 1 and i think it gets a little boring, after a while, not like trainz though![]()

I don't see nothing here that can't be done in Trainz.....my opinion.![]()
Totally agree.Always the Same Old Jazz !
Everytime a new trains sim' is announced, some people start to state that it's gonna be great, or it'll be the ultimate train sim program ever seen and stuff like that ...
I've checked out the links and i saw the loco's interior ad the rollaoing stock.
Very nice, very fine, but it isn't a revolution !
As always with Microsoft (even Kuju) you're gonna face wit what they dare to call an "friendly route editor" ...The last time i've been trying to use the Rail Simulator from Kuju, i thought my brain was bursting ... Just trying to lay 3 parallel tracks ... Find out that you need to lay 5 and delete 2 ... After that trying to figure out HOW to get rid af those buffers coming out "from the blue" ...
No guys, if i have just one thing to advice you : take care of your TRS copy and continue to discover how this program can surprise you (in a good way) just every single day WITHOUT cerebral dammage !
You can't even post a dang pic....So what are you talking about....:n::n::n::n:

Yes that would be great argument 3 years ago, how long can you keep claiming TRS is the best just because of its route editor? Sure i can build a great highly detailed route, but then when i try and drive it i watch my FPS crash into the single digits. Meanwhile i have not yet found anywhere in my routes that i have created in KRS where the FPS gets unbearably low, and keep in mind in KRS i am also using shadows, shaders and far greater draw distances.
The only time my brain was going to explode from KRS is dealing with blueprints, once you get the hang of it is pretty user friendly, not as good as TRS but ill take a slighly more complicated route editor if it comes with better graphics, in game editing (dont have to restart your session to edit) and a functioning lighting engine.
The only thing keeping trs alive is all the community content, if KRS and TC were both newcomers to the market, trs wouldnt stand a chance.
As for your issues about laying track in KRS, i have no clue what you are talking about, i can lay 1,2,3,4 or 5 tracks if i want to. i dont know high it will go but im sure you can lay more, far better than having to have double track splines like in trs. The buffers are there so your train doesnt run of the track obviously, if you dont like them use a no buffer track there are versions of the default track with buffers removed available, however you will find buffers useful in finding unjoined pieces of track.
And believe me i have suffered plenty of Cerebral damage from watching in horror as trs slowly crashes after i hit the undo button laying a spline and loosing hours of work, or slowly watching a slideshow of my train running across my new route at 3 FPS and then spending a hour of loading time exiting the program. KRS has its fair share of problems but until auran can add basic features such as a lighting engine and functioning sound i cant see how it will stay a compeditor to MSTS2.
I think if both simulators were released at the same time, Trainz would indeed stand a chance. Trainz still reigns supreme in two aspects of simulation programs: versatility and ease of use. KRS has tried to deliver those but the program is lacking in those two areas. I'm simply trying to analyze the situation from a neutral standpoint. KRS undoubtedly sports the more advanced graphics engine. Kuju had an excellent concept and initial base to build on, it was just poorly executed.
By the way, those are some great shots of a very interesting route! Keep it up!![]()
