Itareus, you make a good point. It's all well and good to profess that N3V should take their time and issue a fine product, but while that is metaphysically true it is false in practice. Those of us who at some point in our lives worked in retail sales know that unless you are selling medical items, beer, or food, things people must have:hehe:, the quarter beginning with January is dead. If you don't lay by a stash of money to carry you through that period you will be applying for Food Stamps. December is sometimes referred to as the Fifth Quarter because of the volume of sales during that period. That is when you want to make a new release. Beginning with January the consumers will be living on bread and water to pay down the credit card debt they ran up for the parties and gift giving they did in December. T:ane will be ushered in to largely empty game stores and by the time people come back to the stores in April or May it will be passe and on a shelf in the back of the store where only die hard Trainz fans will find it.
The folks at N3V know this, even if they won't say it directly, because they are dropping one of the aspects of the thing so as to roll something out. I'm pretty sure there will be a release of a good but perhaps not full featured product sometime in the first week of December at the latest.
