T:ANE Crashing During Extended Database Rebuild, kuid:-1:710 Not Found???

Hello Everyone,
So out of the blue Trainz crashed on me, so I restarted it and it started the asset rebuild process. However, no matter if its extended or regular database rebuild, it crashes like 3/4 of the way through, with the line:
Code:
<kuid:-1:710> TADGetSpecFromAsset> Unknown asset <kuid:-1:710>
And then it just spams:
Code:
Asset load cancelled due to application shutdown.

I tried loading it into TRS2019 to see if that would work, but no matter what it crashes there. I tried doing a fresh install of T:ANE and that didn't work either, so I'm at a loss. What can I do to possibly fix this?

Shows as unknown 'Auran', only if I select ALL. Not installed as far as I can tell. I suspect you should delete it, but don't trust me on that one.

I tried deleting it but it won't let me. I'm trying deleting assets.tdx again to see if that works, but not sure it will.

I probably should have posted the line below,
Code:
- <kuid:-1:710> TADGetSpecFromAsset> no local file available for <kuid:-1:710> [<kuid:-1:710>]

It's an obsoleted kuid for the grid.

<kuid:-25:1180> Grid
Obsoletes
<kuid:-25:1115> Grid (PBR)
Obsoletes
<kuid:-1:710>

Probably means you have an old incompatible version lurking somewhere? Maybe accidentally imported from an old version of Trainz such as 2004, it's a 1.3.

If you search on <kuid:-1:710> in CM it comes up as unknown asset, however right click list asset versions gives you all the versions that obsolete it. Can solve a few problems with unknowns like that, doesn't explain the crash though.

Is there any way I can somehow create a new database and then transfer all my stuff over? I really don't want to lose all the stuff I had.
There is no way for me to download/delete/even see the assets that obsolete it, just shows up in CM as a spinning circle because it wants to rebuild the database. Nothing I've tried will let it get past that.

So does anyone know of a possible solution, or is there a way for me to re-import my stuff into a fresh Trainz install? I have thousands of hours spent in stuff and I really would like not to lose it.

I'm out of ideas, does anyone else have any?

Try this first before setting up a new copy.

With your 32 GB of RAM, you may actually be running out of memory during the DBR or other content-related activities. This stuff puts a lot of work on the RAM and CPU and can cause a CTD. I have experienced them in the past as well.

The solution I found is to increase the Virtual Memory on the PC. Go to the Control Panel. Click on System. Go to the advanced tab and triple the size of your page file. Make both the minimum as well as maximum this size, and restart as required.

This will ensure you have plenty of VM and you should be able to complete the DBR.

This is actually a pretty quick process and may get you up and running quickly.

I would create a new clean folder. I recommend putting this on another drive if possible definitely in another location besides C:\Users\<login>\App Data.

Start up TANE
At the Launcher, click on settings and install
Click on the ...

Browse to the new folder and click select.

Restart as needed.

Open up settings and put in user-login stuff.

Once this is done,

Run a quick test.

Does everything work?

If not, then there's something else going wrong that needs to be addressed first because it would be total waste of time exporting and importing content.

If yes, you need to then reconnect to your old data folder and then export your own creations to CDPs and import them. Any DLC, downloaded from N3V, needs to be installed within TANE. All other content such as DLS stuff can be downloaded again, and all other 3rd Party content, such as JR routes and stuff, can be added back in via CDPs.
