Subways, Underground, Tram or anything else Urban shots!

Oh okay...and are these creations lost works or stuff you plan on releasing/selling/notdistributing sometime in the future (i don't care when, but if is what i mean...)?
Erc :/
Not lost, but delayed by university commitments.

Well, that's the whole point, Drake's building splines are low poly meshes, and that's what you need to get an urban atmosphere without tanking the framerates. Routes running through big cities in all the trainsims I've ever seen have framerate problems because of the nature of urban areas, lot of detail in a small space. To me the trains and tracks are the primary focus of a train simulator, everything else should be background scenery. The more realistic you can make the background scenery the better provided it doesn't kill the framerates and turn the route into something that's only good for awesome screenshots, the real test is in the videos;

About 1:34 in that one, as the train passes those back porch splines, you get a better idea of what it looks like in actual gameplay. In a perfect world everything would be 3D and ultra realistic with animated kids chasing dogs chasing cats chasing rats through 3D weeds and litter and broken glass, but we always have FPS to deal with. So for me, the priority goes to the trains with whatever FPS is left over going to scenery, and if the FPS gets too low some of the scenery gets cut first since it's all about the trains.

Here's two of mine. They're not great but eh, whatever :-)

Smitchalias....the first shot hasn't appeared at my end......second one looks great.....more to come hopefully.

Quick edit.....i can see it now.....keep them coming.

Great shots! I like the creativity with the ATLS lights. @Smitchalias, where did you get the Siemens Tram in the second photo?

Keep up the good work! ;)

Thanks AcelaJade.

The way the signals have been set up in my route are the norm in Australia, hence where I got my inspiration from! And I'm not quite sure, but I think we (Melbourne) hold the record for the most amount of lanters on a single signal:

Also, the Siemens tram is available on the DLS. Search "Siemens Combino".

Thanks for the info! I was wondering if the Siemens Combino would be able to have changeable destination signs if one creates a texture library and utilizes the AJS Superscript?

They look awesome Mitchul, but you might want to change the Road texture to 'DS Road 01 Texture' by Domsarto on the DLS

Here's some more. Oh goodness I'm starting to like what I'm doing!

The next set of photos need some explanation as I've been playing around with traffic signal set ups and whatnot. These two images are a mock-up of what is seen here. These signals are only operational when a trigger is passed to signal an approaching tram.

And then there's this, which can be found all over the world but is more common in Australia.
