SPorBust rerelease?

Still plays with Trainz
On July 30 of this year, Kyle, aka butter, announced that he would be releasing updates of Frank McCall's great rolling stock. Anyone know of any progress on this front?
Gary

Thanks anyway but that site was opened in August and there has been no activity. I was wondering about "butter" who claimed he was opening a site devoted to updating Frank's assets.

Last I knew sporbust was trying to get all his content to work in trainz '10 and '12. I would say 90% of the content is back on there, just not updated yet.! As for butter., I think I remember when he was talking about rereleasing franks content frank said he would prosecute if his content was modified in any way and released so butter couldn't rerelease them but convinced frank to come back to trainz.

Thanks Brandon. It is a shame to have all those great assets just sitting there unable to be used with the newer versions of Trainz.

Gary, I'm sure I've read more than one thread detailing the fixes to Frank's work to get it going in the later versions.
Personally I have sympathy for Frank in that a creator makes an asset for a specific version, and isn't beholden to keep updating it. After an asset is made, many others come along, some that a creator realizes are better made than his, with more features or whatnot. If the creator isn't invested in working in Trainz any longer, it's a pain to be pestered to update content for new versions. Maybe some content is better left in the past, that's how I feel.

Of course, if the user wants to change the content for personal use in later versions, then they should have at it!

Ed:
I agree with your comments. I was wondering and of course hoping some of those great assets might be brought up to date but alas apparently not so.

Ron:
Yes, I'm well aware of butter's thread. That is what prompted me to start this thread.

Were I you, I would contact someone in butter's thread that said they had them all ready for 10 or 12. They could clue you in on the fixes, I'm sure.
