Splitting Ai trains

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone knows if it is possible to split an Ai train into two separate trains? My scenario is a 4 car NSW Explorer arriving at Werris Creek, then half the train proceeding to Tamworth while the other half diverges to Moree. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

If you have the Canadian Rockies routes by Roystrainz, there is a session or two where the train is split. You may want to take a look at these. Sorry I can't remember which one(s) and I can't look because I'm not at my Trainzing computer at the moment.

I think all you need to do is assign another driver to that locomotive and then uncouple at a specific point to split the train.

This could possibly be done with these 2 driver commands
<kuid2:160293:100120:2> Decouple DLX
i think there was something with this command a while ago, so Christopher made a newer version
search for CDE....

<kuid2:71155:60004:2> Move to train
could add another driver to the new uncoupled consist

I have set up a simple route that I did for someone else which shows how to split the train and also connect the trains. If you want it PM me an Email and I will send it to you.

Hi Guys, I did as you guys suggested but the 2nd driver and commands were not transferred to the 2nd train. Driver setup combined them together so when the trains decoupled there were no instructions for the second consist. Unfortunately I don't have the Rocky routes.

They skipped some steps. I can only speak for T:ANE and before, but this is how I'd do it:
Preparing the session, include an unassigned driver in Driver Setup, with no orders. Call him driver 2. If you're dividing the train and using an additional locomotive that couples to Part 2, you can assign this driver to that loco. If Loco 2 is part of train 1, don't.
Once the train is divided, with Loco 2 attached to Train 2, use the Driver Schedule rule to issue driver 2 the command "move to train %2%" followed by what you want it to do.

:B~)
