South Australian railway content

Willunga Station Assets.
Dean's assets posted on 17 August do not appear on my Content Manager downloads list. The mesh files do, but not the assets.
The assets do appear on the website Download Station.
There was an issue a couple of weeks ago where some Victorian fence assets had a fault and did not appear.
Is this a similar issue?

Just love all the Willunga shots.
Cheers
Nick

Ah ha! That would explain the unusually low download counts on some of the assets in the series. None of them have faults on my local CM. A couple of them have warnings of "degenerate triangles" but not faults.

Thanks Deane.
They look particularly interesting and I'd like to try them on my (fictional) Tasmanian route.
Cheers
Nick

Nick,

Something got out of sync during the initial upload, which left the assets stranded in the “Preview” stage, awaiting Approval, even though they were listed as “Available” on the My Content web page. I took care of the Approval last night and Zec has just sent me this message;

Good Afternoon Dinorius_Redundicus
I have checked the DLS here and these appear to now have been approved correctly; and should be available on the DLS either today or tomorrow.

I guess the idea would be to check the DLS until these assets actually become available. The kuids involved are;

Hi Deane. I can see them in DLS however currently listed as "Content is invalid". The assets look fantastic so well done on building these. Looking forward to when they do become available as many of these fit nicely into my SA route a lot further north of the Willunga line

I've uploaded more ( and different ) Dave Snow frame houses, which have the usual tin , tile , roofs and brick , or block walls. I will be exploring the possibilities of also reskinning others .it's a great shame that many content creators made houses that are good candidates for being adaptable in regions other then those they were intended to reside in, but who either did not express their intentions re reskins or expressly forbid them unless they are contacted, a lot have died so their work is frozen in time and will gradually just become unusable. Even if items are quite basic, they can be of use in backgrounds , but only if they bear some resemblance to local housing, often the changes are very easy to make, and textures can look better than the originals due to improvements in technology, but we are powerless to use them due to the content creators lack of foresight.
Once again thanks to Dave for allowing reskins. I also have made a few 1950s south Australian advertising signs I've made to add to the DLS , expect to see these sometime this week

My Willunga assets referred to in post #84 above appear to be still not downloading. I have left a further note about it for Zec at the Helpdesk but, this is the weekend, so I don’t expect the problems to be looked at until at least Monday.

Lets hope they can get them working properly soon, bTW I thought the screenshot entered in the contest from your Patagonian route looked good Deane, is there much rolling stock available for that region and era ?

Dave, I have no idea of how much AR or CL rolling stock is available these days because the last time I ran a session for this route was back around 2010 AD.

I didn’t know someone had entered a Patagonia screenshot in one of the competition threads. I’ll need to check it out!

Sorry, I've been watching this thread! Is this route released? I can't find it on the DLS!
Do you mean the Patagonian one, , Nicks Port Pirie or Willunga ? Nicks route is huge and is still under construction, The Willunga route is only a 50% WIP which I put up as a backup in march . you can drive it, but many assets are not yet available. Theres abaout two months more work to be done before i upload it again , the Patagonian one was uploaded a week ago I think, just look under Deanes kuid number

Didn't realise there's 3 routes LOL

I can't manage to find the Patagonian route and I have no idea what Deanes kuid is. I can only see the Willunga branch as a dem map on the DLS!
I shall wait patiently ;) :D

Willunga is not just a DEM map,you can run the route and its mostly colored in, and has a lot of detail, but as i said, its not really worth downloading, until you can download deanes models. Deane is Dinorius Redundicus, just look for his kuid number under that name.

<--- My kuid

My route "Patagonia" is not in any way related to dangavel's "Willunga".

Nor is it related to any of the Willunga assets I've recently made for dangavel (and currently having trouble uploading).

.

Patagonia is in South America, part of Argentina. It's a region that has a lot of descendants of Welsh settlers.

I dunno got to teach you Australian boys some geography :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:.

Mike.
Ha bloody ha.
We know where and what it is , the only reason its been mentioned is Deane told me that he had uploaded the route recently.

We really don't need you to point it out the bleeding obvious .
