Yes ... I noticed that there are some minor differences between them. I even saw a YT video of a restoration of one of them, the structure under the veneer is made of wood, including the doors.
I will also use it to make the commercial model of the Commer, the pure BF, which I have also been asked about.
The front is already there, which seems to be the most complicated ... (a little, I won't deny it)
You can always learn something new ...

Looks amazing. Having driven one of these for about a year, if there's any detail you want info on, maybe I am able to help. I could not find an image looking down on the roof, but over the serving area there was a small slightly raised orange perspex skylight, about 80 x 80cm on full size vehicle.

My Trainz version is Trainz Simulator 2010: Engineer's Edition.

I suggest upgrading to TS19 for the pbr version. You'll also get better frame rates same assets same viewing distances. It's $19 today on the N3v store, https://store.trainzportal.com/ the $50 version gets you a few extras.

TS2010 is limited to a couple of cores, TS19 makes better use of the CPU, and the GPU no matter what they are.

I'll let Paul set whatever he wants (I guess this can be set in Config.txt) TS10 should have Content Creator Plus built in (just like TS12) so that won't be a problem ...

I have the IM mesh ready at the moment, but I'm stuck with the crystals ... I can't seem to get the material set up right. I'm a bit rusty on Indexed Meshes in Blender since 2.79. Now reading about this and 3.6 version.

Just the "Enjoy a Sundae today" on the passanger side rear panel and a Mr Whippy icon [as at the back] on the smaller rear drivers side rear panel and its perfect. I still have TS 2012 installed ... sometimes I even use Content Creator Plus (mostly to try to keep some control over the KUID numbers in the different versions and not overlap them)
The GTX1050 could run TANE and TS19 (my GTX750Ti did) but in Medium Settings, of course.
The visual difference would be what you see in the screenshots I posted, there are improvements in lighting, reflections... but you can perfectly continue to be happy with TS2010, it's totally a matter of taste and habits. It may be harder to get new material, but what is there, works ...
Personally, I think I'll stick with TS22... I don't think I'll upgrade again. I was happy with TS2009, then I was seduced by TS12, then TANE, even later TS19 and here we are with 22 (and all its new things to learn). Enough, it's hard to follow the changes.
You see... I got stuck with the crystals because I couldn't remember how to do it ...

I found some logos on Google ... I had to go over the letters by hand (I'm not very experienced in painting on a tablet, I just tried it ) but I think they didn't turn out too bad ...
As I said, it's a good opportunity to try out some unusual techniques ...

So you've four cores sitting idle, and the GTX 1050 has a 3D score of 5,000 which is greater than many users have. You can run two versions on your machine at the same time and it's possible to copy your existing data into the new version 99.5% should work just fine. Realistically TANE or 3.5 assets are more stable than earlier versions especially on the scripting side.

Here at TS 12 : The red warning is due to polycount .

The issue with the crystals is solved ... I just had to think a little (it's hard to concentrate with the whole family around)
IM mesh with its crystals and a slightly darker tone in the texture, with Build 3.4 in TANE:

A last minute addition... I found the decals for the side sectors. With a little "cosmetic" treatment, they worked.

The trick is to have the sound play only near the vehicle and not all over the route. There was one route with a sternwheeler boat that the song coming from it drove one crazy all over the route.

Once again, thanks so much for your fabulous work... every time I'll look at it I'll time warp back 55 years... amazing! Shame you couldn't get the icecream machine to work as well. its 36C in Malta at the moment
