Good Day all,
Last Sat I had to goto the Oral Surgeon for Phase one of Dental Post install, out of 3 Surgeries, and the funniest thing happened, during Drilling part of Surgery I was told I had very tough Bone to Drill thru, to the point that a different drill type was needed. Now I know what a piece of Wood Stock feels like when we Drill. Got scared a bit, what do we do now if he can't drill thru my Bone to attach a the Implant? Well as good luck would have, yes I did say a silent prayer to upstairs. It took several minutes longer, but all ended well. And Blue thanked the powers to be above. Who would have thought something like this.
While taking it easy for few days with Pain Meds, I checked in the Forum, and found an adorable little Model RR Route by
Footplatephil.

In other news, I have been looking for Swiss Assets and came across this Forum today.
https://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?11216-Swiss-Screenshots and Author brickcourt has nice Assets that will work nicely.
Tonight's Pics:

Some extremely long continous Routes, I wonder if this works better for Trainz in Frame Rate wise, or it makes in worse?

Been playing around with German, European Winter Style Routes learning about Electrification and how they do there's some of it is very complicated. But interesting me technically.

These Spruce Trees change LOD and go translucent at close distance, I need to try and safe them, but it could end up, that they need complete replacement?

Euro Route I playing around with, as well, I have about 6-8 different Merge Projects going on.

I was with a friend there last week in September 2011 and filmed the machine that lay down the track. A SVM 1000 from Plasser & Theurer.
There is two machine of this model in the world and this is the only one in Europe!

CSX's Runaway Train: The Crazy Eights Incident https://youtu.be/cn-ZQw5Pw3M
Runaway trains are never a good thing to have roaming the rails. A derailment with so much speed, power, and weight behind them could lead to disastrous consequences. While it has happened before, it's also been prevented. On what was an ordinary day in Walbridge, Ohio on May 15th, 2001, CSX would experience a runaway train incident that would go down in infamy. With two carloads of hazardous and flammable chemicals onboard, the situation was made far worse. Many people know it as the "Crazy Eights".

EAST BROAD TOP RAILROAD
History comes alive when the EBT Goes to War! In May of 2023, the East Broad Top Railroad Hosted their annual "EBT Goes to War - Living History Event." The event included various displays and demonstrations of military memorabilia from three eras, the Civil War, the Great War, and World War II. Alongside this, the railroad ran steam powered excursions with recently-restored steam locomotive 16.
The East Broad Top Railroad was constructed in between 1872 and 1874 with the purpose of hauling iron ore from the furnaces in Rockhill to the Pennsylvania Railroad interchange in Mount Union. As time progressed the focus of the railroad shifted from pig iron production to coal hauling, as the railroad began to service the numerous mines on Broad Top Mountain. The EBT faithfully served these industries for nearly 80 years. Going into the 1950s, coal fell out of favor for gas and oil, leading to the Ol' Eastie's demise, with official closure occurring in 1956. The railroad was purchased by the Kovalchick Salvage Company, but rather than opting to scrap the line, it was made into a tourist attraction. The attraction was extremely popular, running strong for over 50 years, but by 2011, insurance costs resulted in the closure of the line. With an uncertain future, the railroad sat dormant until 2020, when it was purchased by East Broad Top Foundation with the goal of restoring the railroad to its former glory. Being perfectly frozen in time, the East Broad Top remains as a truly special time capsule, preserving a little bit of Americana.
East Broad Top 16 was built in 1916 but the Baldwin Locomotive works and is the first of the "large" 2-8-2 mikados delivered to the EBT. Being equipped with super heaters, piston valves, and southern valve gear, 16 outperformed her earlier counterparts. She served the railroad faithfully up until the end in 1956, being in the middle of an overhaul during its closure. During the tourist era, 16 was evaluated for restoration, but due to her boiler paperwork being destroyed, 14 was ultimately chosen. Fast forward to 2020, 16 was selected for restoration as it was in the best condition of all the other mikados, with work beginning in 2021. On February 1st, 2023, the restoration was complete, with 16 running her own power for the first time in 67 years, marking the beginning of a new era on the EBT.
My new homemade train speeding over abandoned railway tracks. Power draisine on railroad https://youtu.be/J-trmaG64WY
After my previous rail cart got stolen, I managed to find some new train wheels on Craig list. This time I went for an even more exciting build. This time around, the frame is made of steel for better stiffness and the engine was upgraded to a Suzuki 125cc 2-stroke engine. Coupled with a 6-speed transmission to deliver its 14hp to the tracks! It works wonderfully, so wonderfully that the top speed is still unknown because I got scared in 5th gear at around 50km/h.
Theoretically, it should be able to do 70-80km/h
That's a wrap for today, thanks for dropping by.
