Here is a screenshot of the Elkins, WV car shops of the Western Maryland Railway. Original route created by JRFolco. But I redid the yard all over again using maps, charts, and photos. The WM Bucyrus Erie MOW crane is a recent creation of Majekear using a Dave Snow reskin. Trainz version: 2010.
Yes, I do hope to release the route one day. At present ti is about 3/4 finished.
Yep, she's steep and road crews ease down it carefully and as going up the firemen make sure the have a good head of steam up before hitting it. This approach is passenger only and are shared by the NYC, LE&E, Reading and a few more making the upper tier approach to Union Terminal. The tracks running in front of the stores along the base of the viaduct are the PRR, L&A, NM&W along with a few more. It's not uncommon for trains to race each other, but if the upper tier train makes the viaduct before the lower tier train can get through the riverfront business district the top line will get the nod and enter the station first.
The Railfan has been peeking into the Norwood Ohio shops of the L&A.
For those with a sharp eye you will see an overhead crane the Ben Dorsey just finished for the Bayshore shop. I'm guessing it should be on the DLS soon.
A small Midwestern route I've been working on for a couple days...
Something I like about modeling farmland, you can place minimal scenery (I may have overdone the flora just a little bit) and still be fully decorated.
These shots were taken on mid-range hardware. I can't wait until my I get my GTX 1050Ti.
