i just made some log trash textures and tried them out on the ground on this logging coup that i added to klingers excellent timber ridge line " which i am revamping for myself in TANE
'
ready to tackle the 12% grade
trying to emulate some of the destruction one gets with clearcut logging
yeah i only realised i'd left the tender out after i did the shot.
the logging dry sort yard i used in this shot doesn't want to play well in TANE either , it begins to load, then freezes up and the consist is only usable after a restart of the game
A few more days work on my personal route. Added some forests, started building a small town (currently called Alverton), and added a coal mine loop. Thinking about a dedicated thread, because i'm really starting to enjoy this route-building thing.

The current state of a housing complex. More houses will be added eventually
The town of Alverton. Car dealership, and some random shops. Also, if anybody has recommendations for better parking lot line splines, i'd like to hear/see them, i'm not much liking the gray rectangles contrasting with the rest of the parking lot

The coal mine. No idea how to detail this any further, so it'll probably stay like this for the time being.

Bonus Shot, Coal train heading uphill to the coal mine. 2 sets of abandoned tracks can be seen mostly hidden in grass. Ned more shrubbery, IMO
There's an old saying: Up a S*** Creek without a S*** Paddle. <- Trailer Park Boys TV show
And, as my aunt will say:
Those farmers are S*****' in high cotton.
