Shellharbour too Waterfall Route creation pictures

Tanvaras

Retired old fellow
Hello all,

Thanks too Seeseeme (For assisting me with the DEM map section) and Jerker (For actually making it) Some screenshots of the first initial section I have been working on. I was going too start with port Kembla Steelworks section, but since the DEM I received gave me from Shellharbour too Waterall, might as well star at one end and head towards the other.

So, I thought might as well post some screenshots as I progress along each section. Hope you all like them, welcome too give praise and or criticism ( I take rejection well - Where's my gun again hehe) But pleae feel free too give good or bad comments, As I really want too do as best as I can and all advice is constructive.

Wow Trent you have come a long way already,You only posted about it it in the Surveyors section section the other day with sum screenies now a day or so later after receiving the DEM and you have done quite abit by the looks of it.It looks great so far,I cant wait to see more.
Cheers Mick.:D

Thanks Mick,

I decided too start all over since I got a DEM from Seeseeme (Thanks mate), which wasnt that bad since I had only done a small section of BHP, and practice makes perfect they say. But Today I have just about completed too the next station (I have had a lazy day and sat on my butt all day using Surveyor hehe - bad thing when you work for yaself at times) But I am trying too get the tracks as corect as I can, major roads near tracks as best as possible, and so forth. GOing too add in portals and set up some AI passenger and possibly some freight trains, But for myself I want too run the freighters myself and let the passenger trains too the AI if all goes well.

I'll post some more pics in a day or so as I get more done. Doing the easy bits atm not much height variations yet, but its coming and they shall test me...LOL.

Cheers

Howdy Trent,
I once worked for Freightcorp training to be a assistant loco driver in Junee,We use to load grain trains bound for Port Kembla but i only ever made it as far as Goulburn unfortunately,The old blokes reckon the ride down the hill into Wollongong was a interesting one sum times. All the best with your route mate,I'm looking forward to this one.
Cheers Mick.:D

WOW, I really like what you have done so far Trent. Your texture and landscaping skills are very good.

From the screenshots it looks like you are using Mike10's roads but I am not sure. If you are using them, you may find later that the roads "flicker" in some spots. Mike upgraded the set of roads by mgreen48 (kuid 52519) and they look much better even though Mikes roads are more like Aussie roads.

Thanks Craig, i'll give them alook. Cause you are right they do flicker abit here and there. (Edit: Thanks for the info on roads - Time to get a FCT as my DL's are rather larger now)

Everything going well should have the next station section done sometime this afternoon. I have taken a few days off since business has been dead this week for me, so time to get into surveyor while I have the chance too put in some serious hours.

Cheers

Thought I put up a few pics up as I go along. Going to be a long project as there is about 100+ base boards but I shall prevail.

Very nice indeed.
I don;t know the area but the screenies appear depicting the area realistically.

I'm a little shocked by the hue of the colours, they're a little bright but I insist that I get a very good feeling from the areal shots. Good job!
