Sebino Lake Italy is here

What a Nice way to show what TRS19 can do … have to agree the route is very distracting to a drive found my self walking around looking at some of the bigger stations while I was waiting to depart.

Added : Running the 2nd railcar run, has anyone else looked at the map and noted all the future expansions … what can I say …. amazing

Can anyone explain the hidden 30km limits I keep running into not showing on the profile, Im guessing its the signal limit?

Tom

You are a great observer, excellent thing.
An extension is already WIP: the Palazzolo s.O.-Paratico branch.:Y:

Hi, I'm in beta build 97513. I downloaded the route through the DLC in-game downloader. All went fine and there are no missing dependencies shown in the content manager. There is no image in the route screen selection but there are in the session selection.
When I click on edit route or one of the sessions an error appears:

"Trainz has encountered the following error:
LayerTable::Load> Route layer 1 not found when loading session visibility data"

And the map appears all blank, with white colour and cannot select anything.
I have lowered the settings to see if that solved the problem and I have done a database rebuild but none of them worked,
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Charlie.

Obviously your persoanl opinion there if you think the other two train sims have any better routes then this one lol. Been around for most versions from this crowd and in my opinion this route is one of the best and hopefully the standard for other route builders to aim for.
Cheers Mick.

My Trainz history goes back a lot further than your Mick, no offence.

Trainz CE 2001 and every version since.

Just my opinion buddy. ;)

Mike.

Appearance wise the Route is a classic, fantastic views, scenery, etc. Can't imagine the amount of work and time that went into this, kudos to the designer/builder.

There's still room for improvement though, one of the 1st things I noticed is - why aren't the stations and trains industry active? Nobody ever gets on or off a train, right click on the train and it's always empty. Will this be addressed?

Not off to a promising start. Went to load a session and got a debug error message. Screenshot at Trainsim dot com https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread.php?329007-Trainz-Railroad-Simulator-2019-Announced/page39 visible to anyone who is a member, as N3V CBA to host images on their own forum. Clicked past that and entered the cab, lovely TRS2004 or being generous TRS2006 era interior. Noted the instruction that stated ready to proceed. Pondered the red signal for a few moments then after checking the route set correctly assumed it was related to the debug message, set off anyway to promptly get a SPAD Game Over message.

And why is the session set up for baby level DCC only? At least give users the choice of running in "cab" mode!

Verdict, polite version - could do better. Impolite version - probably get me a forum holiday.

I think this is related to the issue described in my post above, too. Sounds like a tad more testing was required before this went live...

I can tell you I've played the session twice and have had no problem. Signal goes green once incoming train passes.

Ver - Beta 97513

Good for you. Still doesn't explain the debug message at the start, the session pop up should explicitly state wait for the signal to clear and the fact the session only uses DCC (which we can't change as it is locked payware).

I think he was replying to my post... not yours. I just wanted to see if it was in fact working at all for others. I don't get any error msgs... just a light that remains red. Even after 30 minutes and all other trains are parked off main and in "waiting" status.... Perhaps this "bug" is on Mac version only??? (As I said.. I've turned in bug report as on save and restart of save I get a green immediately)

I will test it again, wait for the AI train to pass and report back.

Edit:

I assume we are talking about the session Maintenance Service, of course.

Loaded it up on the laptop, no debug error and the signal had cleared to green ready for my train. So that leads me to suspect any issues are due to scripts not running properly or corrupting. I did find how to change to cab mode after experimenting - the far from obvious dots in the bottom RH of the HUD. Drove for a couple of miles, at the first level crossing outside the station, cars were continuing to cross through the barriers and in front of the train. 60km/h seems a little fast for the curvature and there were at least a couple of locations where the straighten tool needs to pay a visit. Yes the scenery looks nice, what I saw of it but this still needs to operate as a railway.

Jango,
In the narrative describing this route, there was mention of additional engines and rolling stock at trainzitalia for this route. I checked the site but was a bit overwhelmed by all the available downloads for engines and rolling stock.

Do you have suggestions for what would work well on this route?

Why does the ALN668 (?) DMU sound like it uses default Alco sounds and what appears to be a slightly modified Red Hen or RDC cab? I can just about accept the latter, but come on those sounds go back to 2002 and are hardly suitable for a diesel unit. Failing anything else, there are some UK Sprinter sounds on the DLS they could have been aliased to. This is not freeware but part of a very expensive retail package...

The crossing at the level crossing is given by the minimum length of the road after the intersection. This is the reality in Pisogne.
Do we respect reality or level crossing?

The route faithfully repeats the position of the real speed limits imposed by the Ferrovie Nord.
Obviously, these are the max limits for some types of trainsets.

The route reproduces as closely as possible (even in buildings) roads and landscapes around the railway, obviously with the Trainz limits.
Only DEM data were used.

In a few days we will provide an appropriate list.
I remind you that the rolling stock works perfectly in TANE, but they have not been tested in TRS19.:o

Freight session problem

The freight session.

Anyone tried it? I can't get into the locomotive. No driver allocated to it. Am I alone here?
