Red Signals

Stepan;
Hi! Is there another signal further down the track, or is it the only one?
If there is no further single, the current signal will be red because the next block of track is unsignaled. Place the mouse cursor over the signal and it will display a message indicating why the signal is red.

Also, is the next junction aligned correctly for the train?

Stephan,

Can you give us a bit more information e.g. what version of Trainz are you running, which scenario doesn't work?

Cheers

Hi, I,m thinking it may be the Apollo Bay scenario on the Razorback Railway. That was messed up by a red signal. I just gave up on it. If it is not that one then we need the name of the scenario, trainz version and location of signal.
There are several explanations why signal won,t clear. The route to next signal is not set correctly, another train in the way, no signal or buffer stop ahead of signal (route unsignalled), a missing asset such as a point lever, motor or it is simply bugged, etc! etc!

If the problem is The Apollo Bay scenario (or other Razorback scenarios) then the problem is a result of changes made by Auran particularly in relation to Track and Directional Markers and there is no 'fix' available (refer the following link http://razorbackrailway.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2262 post number 6 for the full details).

There is a crude workaround for this problem (Apollo Bay).

1. Open for edit in explorer <kuid:-3:10124> (Track Direction Marker)

2. Make a copy of the opened folder in a temporary place (Desktop ?)

3. Reset the opened asset

4. Modify the config.txt of the copy to look like the following:

Code:
[COLOR=Red]kuid                                    <kuid:-3:910124>
obsolete-table {
    0                <kuid:-3:10124>
}
username                                "!!!Track Direction Marker"[/COLOR]
kind                                    "scenery"
trackside                               0
surveyor-only                           1
previewscale                            1.6

mesh-table
{
  default
  {
    auto-create                         1
    mesh                                "trackmark.im"
  }
}
search-limit                            1

extensions
{
[COLOR=Red]  30501-search-limit-affects-signaling  0
[/COLOR]}
asset-filename                          "track direction marker"
Changes or additions are marked in red; localised usernames have been omitted.

5. Import (and Commit) this modified asset into Trainz

!!! WARNING !!!
Use this asset only for playing the scenario!
Delete it immediately after playing the scenario!
Don't create or modify any maps or sessions while this asset is installed!

Scenario Bank Heath fails

I've seen a similar situation under tr2010 on the bank Heath scenario where you are expect to stop a train as close as possible in front of a (red) sign (at a station)
it worked fine under TR 2009. but is currupt under TR 2010
despite you've made a full stop in front of the red sign, you've get a message that your run through the sign and the scenario stops, so you have to start over again. and again and again.
probably this helps

on which scenario does this happen

Sorry stephen 911
I did not react on your question.
if it is the banks Heath scenario in Cab mode you first have to release the brake and put the train in a forward position. do not run the train untill the light becomes green ( 1 - 2 minutes)

Misschien leest dit gemakkelijker.
als je het over het scenario Banks Heath in Cab mode hebt, moet je eerst je loc in Forward positie zetten F toets en je rem vrij zetten Q toets.
na 1-2 minuten moet het licht op groen komen
succes
