Saved consists gone help

I have TRS04, and I discovered that the consist window in surveyor is empty. What happened? How do I get them back, default and my own?

Check content manager in the Auran files. Make sure all boxes on the left are ticked; also have you got paint-shed installed.

Yes to all that, it seems that my consists were deleted somehow because sometimes my computer would crash or reboot a few minutes after loading a map in surveyor. I put a small fan next to the computer and that seemed to solve the rebooting problem. The consists menu is blank. Where do saved consists go when you save them?

Edittable in 'notepad' and worth backing up - as you found out....

Is there any way to at least get the default consists back if they're gone without reinstalling Trainz? I only had about 2 of my own saved consists in there. I saved a new consist and it showed up in the menu, and the config file, but all the others are gone.

Assuming default consists are recorded in surveyorconsists.txt you could get someone who hasn't deleted them to email you the file. I have deleted them, so can't help....
