reinstall 012

hi all,
been searching forums for a guide on how to reinstall 012
cant really find exactly what i'm looking for
can someone explain how to do it please
i've got everything backed up
i'm not sure how to get everything back into the clean reinstall
any help would be most greatful
i think i'm losing my marbles

Can you post a list of what folders/files you have backed up?

i've backed up all the folders on ex hd
bin
builtin
extras
prebuilt
userdata

Of those, the only one which would seem to be required to reinstall would be the user data folder. If you have made any changes to the trainzoptions file and did not also save that file somewhere, then it is lost, but not hard to edit.

Did you clean your registry between the uninstall and the reinstall? Have you added any patches?

I would take those steps, then replace the new user data folder with the one you saved, cross my fingers and press enter.

That depends on your line of work. If you are in demolition, sheet metal fabrication or printing, you may be hard pressed to come up with two between each hand!
