Really old Engines on Trainz??

FiachraIR

Irish Railway Historian
Hi Im looking for any engines from the 1800s that are British or even Autralian that looks British, Something between Stephensons Rocket and GWR Dean Goods engine would be brilliant!! Also any 2-2-2T, 2-4-0T, 0-4-2T, 4-4-2T or any tender engines with those wheel configurations from any era would be a great help aswell. Its just that after searching the DLS and didn't find much I thought I would ask here to see if anyone knew of any "secret engines" lost in the DLS......

Is this that Rocket engine your talking about?

There's a model of Lion (1838) available, including in its guise as the Titfield Thinderbolt and a GNR Stirling single (1870) both by blue (who also produced the current Stephenson's Rocket model).
For 4-4-2Ts there is an Adams radial tank by Skipper1945, for 2-4-0 there is a Beattie well tank (I forget the author) and the new NSR B class by knucklesnvector.
If you want narrow gauge I have some Victorian Festiniog railway locos and rolling stock on the DLS.
If you want GWR broad gauge check out the ING4Trainz website.

@zeldaboy surely you know what the real Stephenson's Rocket is, it was one of the earliest truly succesful locomotives, setting the design pattern for almost all locomotives that followed.

Zeldaboy14, I dont know if your being serious or not but its still funny either way. I've tried that Ben but to be honest I don't know the class/train names of that era but thanks anyway

Edh6, the NSR B class was exactly what I was looking, And the Lion and the Thunderbolt were a bonus! I couldn't find the Beattie Tank but thanks that was brilliant!! I think I have most of the Ffestiniog content, such a unique railway.

Look up 'rickysykes' on the DLS; he's got the GWR Broad Gauge stuff as well as Novelty, Trevithick's Pen-y-darran loco, Wylam Dilly and Puffing Billy.

'Blue' has Rocket, and it may have been repaired and uploaded by the user 'johnwhelan', who has also updated Thunderbolt and Lion. For matching L&M coaches look up 'Traveller' and 'Thirdclass'.

Kieran.

I'm sadly only looking for Standard Gauge, I should've mentioned that aswell as maybe late 1800s not early but thanks all the same Ken and Kieran
