Raildriver, Yes or No

As a (brand) new user of Trainz, the Raildriver desktop console is tempting.
Any opinions as to yea or nay? Do the majority of the Trainz users have one (or wish they did)?
Maybe most importantly, any downsides/problems with the unit?
thanks,

I have one and it works well with both '04 and '06 - but only plays nicely with diesels. Steam is another matter.

Using just the throttle handle, you can put your train on DCC and run either type.

I have one and think its well worth the money if your a Trainz Tragic. As HiBaller says, its really meant for diesel operations. Works with all versions of TRS but you need the correct drivers (available from US distributors Web site). Only disadvantage I can think of is that you get so used to doing everything through the Raildriver you forget how to use the PC interface.

i have one!
the best thing ever! i use it everytime i go into driver. i got TRS2006.
works great!
it was well worth it. but because i couldnt find one we went rihght to management of who makes them and ordered one right clean out of the factory.
i use the PC once in ahwile only if im transfereing from surveyor to driver to check things.
other than that if your a fantic for Trainz get that sucker!!!!

I love my RailDriver, and do not like to drive without it ;)

If you have the disposable income, my vote would be to get one.
