I remember back in the dim dark ages when every1 first bought MTS and along then along came Trainz. We (all the original Trainz fans) then moved to Trainz for many good reason's. Now we ALL now where MTS is today. There is now yet another contender here trying to take the crown off Auran's head. I've played many EA based games and there support is totally USELESS. I'd stick with Trainz my friends. Or you'll end up with another dud just like MTS, of which my copy is used to hold up a wonky cupboard in my shed. It serves it's purpose out there.

U no doubt weren't around when Trainz was originally released and we ex-MTS user's compared the visual quality of Trainz product against this inferior product which was advertised in nearly every issue of Model Railroaer since it's release just to get sales up, because they knew they were in dire straights. Auran didn't need to do this as there product was far and beyond greater than Microsoft's luck-lustre attempt.

This totally explains why MSTS has a far larger community with more users are more available routes, rolling stock locomotive and such (also much higher quality in many cases IMHO ) as for overall visual quality, trs is not a quantan leap or really at all better than MSTS, MSTS lighting still beats trs hands down.
As for comparing MSTS to KRS that is rather pointless, sure EA's support is bad but considering they are nothing more than the publishers of the game they are not really the people to go to for support anyways, the actual people behind the game, RSDL are frequent posters at Uktrainsim, train-sim and the official RS website and are ussualy happy to help with problems.
Next time try and be informed before you post mindless drivel like this.

I have the game and I'm yet to be impressed at all! Before you go ape on me, I do know it's early and as I have posted in the past, I run many different kinds of the same sim.
But as a new game in the year 2008, I'm not thrilled! Bring the flames I'm ready!:hehe:

Trainz & KRS both have pros & cons, they are both great rail road simulators, and both have a great fanbase. Please no more Trainz<KRS, KRS<Trainz.

As for screenshots, I'll post a few today. I'm playing both games too, and when there is more content available the game will be better received

The formation is wrong!
It should be formed of DMCL + MSO + DMSO for a 3 car unit! Class 166s only ever were 3 cars, however Class 165s which are very simliar, just that they don't have air conditioning, were formed of 2 and 3 car units, cut out the MSO for a 2 car unit.

lol blame the kujans for that, i was just running the Autumn leaves scenario from their website, but really i wouldve probably done alot (I know that there are 8 coaches on a HST :hehe: ) Seriously though, other than the numbers there is very little external difference between the two and im sure the polygonal RS people dont mind the lack of airconditioning
