U shouldnt have any problems with the tracks in later versons mate, i have all of troughs tracks working fine in '10. Even if it the the track is corrupt in '12 you can replace it in surveyor with ease.

Which of these tracks unlocatable ... and is corrupt in 09/10/12 ?

MP Wood v2
MP Tunneltrack Dark
MP Rusty
RTS Tracks

If someone lets me know ... I can replace them beforehand ... then no one will have to mess with replacing tracks in 09/10/12.

What I need is 3 volunteers to test the route ... one 09, one 10, one 12 user, or a single user who has all the versions.

This route is @ 24 hours away from release ... (the lady of the house is home today again, holding me up, and keeps yelling at me: "Get Off The Dang Computer" !

Thank you; NevadaNorthernFan901

I will have to do work tonight after the little woman goes to bed ... then I get all night, to be in Surveyor.

The above mentioned dependencies should be checked to see if the work in higher versions (09/10/12) ... please let me know of non working, or difficult to locate assets !

Hey cascade, in 1940, where could I find the following on the Altoona to Johnstown dem

Watertowers
Coaltowers
Signals
Industries(and type)

Thanks in advance

Josh

Which of these tracks unlocatable ... and is corrupt in 09/10/12 ?

MP Wood v2
MP Tunneltrack Dark
MP Rusty
RTS Tracks

I'm using MP Wood and MP Rusty on my Mon Valley route and they work fine in TS2009 SP4. Never tried MP Wood v2 though.

I'd love to give this a try as a tester, but unfortunately work during the week and school Tuesday and Thursday nights keeps my railroading to the weekends. :'(

You mean where were the locations of such ?

Watertowers
Coaltowers
Signals
Industries(and type)

In the late 40's steam was about to be replaced by diesel. There were water towers at Kittanning Point, (which was a coaling transfer signal bridge, with a NG coal dump carts pushed by workers there) but it was removed in the early 1900's. The Track Pans, where loco's took on water on the "Fly" by lowering a tender scoop, were located on the "Long Straight" preceding the "Curve", and at another location near Tyrone.

East Juniata Enginehouse, and Juniata Locomotive Works each had a 360 degree roundhouse, and there were @ 7 transfer tables and turn tables in the area, and water & fueling facilities, as did Cresson Wye. There were water Track Pans somewhere on the West Slope near Johnstown also.

Signals were placed @ Every mile, and a train fit inside these "blocks".

Signal Towers were often times within lantern sight from one another. Between Tyrone and Altoona there must have been dozens, likewise many more Towers between Altoona and Bolvair.

Altoona had many industry tracks, and Brickyard may have had a siding, and Gallitzin had many industries, and a NG RR interchange, as was the case in Juniata where the Wopsy RR interchanged-36" NG, later on SG).

The Hollidaysburg Secondary was a PRR foundry, and many more facilities, and industries were south of Altoona. Sam Rea Car Shops, Hollidaysburg Car Shops ... etc ...

Basicly in the 40's, alot was being removed in lieu of high speed passenger service, and hundereds of freights per day.

The main commodity of Altoona was weighing and classifying tens of thousands of EB loaded coal hoppers per day ... and inspecting and storing WB empty coal trains, and merchandise freights.

All of the "GG1's" were built in Altoona, (electric, although overhead catenary only went as far west as Harrisburg and Enola), and the main PRR Scientific Test Laboratory was near the Station Mall area, and had a car stess twisting bed, and a static rollers locomotive test bed, Coal tipple loadouts were all over the West Slope (Bens Creek, Portage, South Fork, Fallentimber, NantyGlo) ... etc ...

Glenwhite Run and Burgoon Run (Glenwhite Coal and Timber Co) had 3 spurs right at the "Curve", but was all but removed by the 30's.

The Glenwhite spur ran several miles up the valley and a thiving coal community was there called "Glenwhite" ... all the inhabitants were ravaged by smallpox and the town became a Ghost Town, it still exists back in the brambles and sticker bush's).
======================================
I believe that since the HP Trainz-JosefPav site has been out of commission for 2 years, I believe that MP Wood, MP Rusty & MP Tunneltrack Dark are unavailable for download ? Please advise me !

MP Wood v2 was created by Philskene, so it would display as a higher detailed track in 09/10/12, as MP Wood had a pitiful display.

They were just general goods industries correct?

You mean the straight near the reservoir for the track pans correct?

How many tracks was the Cresson flyover?

Where would the industries be in Gallitzin, as there is no off tracks?

Josh

Track Pans were a mile or so before the "Curve" as was the iron plate rivoted Water tank (still exists back in the poisonous copperhead and timber rattler, sticker bush infested brambles).

There are 2 industry spurs at Gallitzin today.

The Cresson Flyover had only one track, going over a 2 stone pier, 3 section plate girder bridge, that also held PRR PLS Signals above the mainline, connecting the Upper Yard and the Lower Yard.

I am usure when Altoona Pipe & Steel became, near the Station.

The Altoona Freight Station was where Less Than Car Load cars had partial loads transfered to adjacent boxcars, via interconnecting portable diamond plate steel plates, using hand trucks and forklifts rolling from adjacent car, to car.

All these will be detailed on my route.

Prior to the Horseshoe construction ... the Muleshoe Curve line in Hollidaysburg was the original PRR mainline, and Altoona barely existed yet, prior to @ 1850.

I got tuckered out @ at 2:00 AM last night ... I was laying BNSF Invisatrack as Aeriel flyways 300' distant and 40m higher than the mainline.

My GF (who hatez Trainz) has been off all weekend and Monday, Tuesday, and she worked at home today ... she has put a severe cramp in my Trainz lifestyle this holiday weekend ... delaying the project a bit more ... She constantly says: "Get off the Dang Computer" !

Soon as she goes to bed ... I'm into Surveyor all night long.

Today was hot, and I was sweating like a pig, cleaning up the yard and garage ... I think I'll take a power nappy ... and get started again tonight.

Again from you 09/10/12 users ... I am taking requests of 2 types of track (for Mainline & Yard) that are 06 assets, that display well in 09/10/12, and I will switch out tracks.

I mean ... if i gave the mass's MP Rusty, MP Tunneltrack Dark and MP Woodv2, RTS #24 & RTS #26 and these tracks show up blank, or no one can find them to download them ... that would be disappointing.

Stmsoccer: Is that a kitbashed PRR B2 Station, with a PRR Signal Cabin sticking out of it ?:cool:Cool shots !

That looks nice Josh! I agree, the late fall look does have a good feel. Nice choice on the track too.

Cascade Yes it is and Thanks

Ben, I agree it adds character

Here is one more
PRR M1's near Gallitzin

Beattie, my route has been in the works for a while, and I was forced to restart, but I found my method and am getting in done fast. There are 2 other Horseshoe Curves, that I know of, Cascades's unsceniced, and Scratchy's modern. Mine is loosly based on PRR plans in 1939.
