I am so sorry ...

I promised that I would release my Big DEM Horseshoe Curve route on Dec 24th, as Freeware for all !

Unfortuneatelty, it is vastly undone, and pathetic as H-E double toothpicks:hehe: . The more I do ... the more I realize that I have so much more to do.

I will try to get it done ASAP this next year ... as I am so tired of delaying it's release.

Even though the track from Huntingdon to Bennington Furnace is largely done, and Forest1 texture is being applied overall ... I want to have UN, AR, MO (Cresson) complete for all of you.

I wanted so much to give this route as freeware to all of you as a Holiday Present ... but it is so shamingly undone ... you will get it ... soon this upcomming year !

The more I learn ... the more I see that I do not know ... and how MUCH more I have to learn !

I want to thank ALL of the creators ... but especially Mezzoprezzo ... as I am intently studying his fine distant "Smokey Mountains" texturing techniques !

Winter ... lol ... I saw these on Red Sharks-750mm Freelance NG thread:

No shame.:) I been working on my version of the same route since 2008 and the more I work on it the more there needs to be done. I have track layed from the Conemaugh gap to past Portage moving slowly up hill to Cresson. Take your time.

Keep on keeping on.... Like I've seen so many times in the forums, "It'll be done whenever it is done." Although, I'd love to get some running done on this route myself, remember that route building is for YOUR entertainment. Being able to release it publicly is just a by-product of that.

We'll get it when YOU are happy with it!

I am working on this area at present.

It seems strange that right after MO Interlocking, all 5 tracks dog legged to the right and formed the Cresson grade separation towards the Rt 53 bridge ... what a twisted railroad.

I am presuming that this is the Tunnelhill side of the Portage tunnel, where the Muleshoe Secondary came twisted from Hollidaysburg, into the present day mainline.

Someone said that the tall siren, on the hillside, sounded if a train exceeded 13mph down the 2.37% "Slide".

Congratulations on taking the plunge and purchasing TS2010! Hope you enjoy it! :)

I purchased TS2010 from the Auran Shop at the end of August 2011, and received and installed it on September 8, 2011. Maybe yours will arrive in a similar amount of time.

Regards,

Zachary.

The TS10 version I purchased the other day is being shipped from N3V.

I will continue building my route in TRS2006 ... and later on transfer my route into TS10 for improvements and testing.

TRS2006 will always be my main (backup) route design version though ... that is until (if) I ever get the hang of TS10 and layers (problems ie: lost, dotted line, track ... etc ...)

I could help with faulty assets and with TS2010

Just wondering how is the status of horseshoe curve? You going to post some updates on it soon or are you waiting to continue it after you get trainz 2010?

The route is so huge ... I am working really hard on it.

I have trackage from Huntingdon to Cresson largely intact ... Cresson to Johnstown is a later chore in a third Mediafire release.

You will be seeing a second release soon. The first release was a Fishlipsatwork DEM (This will be obsolete and the new DEM will take its place soon).

I still have only 2 textures on it: Forest1 and a high detailed ballast.

As soon as I get TS10 I will be testing it ... and also be releasing a TRS2006 version also.

True ... with 10 having a 5m cutting grid, all my TRS2006 rough steep 10m cuts will all have to be reworked.

TRS2006 being the most stable ... all my backups will be in that version ... just for safekeeping.

I look forward to TS10 so much.

A word of caution, when you update the versions in 10 don't upgrade above 44088 or you'll lose compatibility mode. Which means none of the broken items will show in the route anymore. You of course won't be able to play multiplayer sessions though.
The 5 meter grid has to be set up as you add base boards. You cannot change existing 10m boards to 5m, as far as I'm aware. I wish you could. So your cuts and what not will not change.
