Postcards from Ireland...

148561:38004/005/006 - OK, it's meter gauge, but who's counting :) A rather nice track with a grey ballast texture that looks the part without being over the top with a choice of 2, 6 or 8 meter repeats. And it's on the DLS :)

Excellent screens Dermmy, keep it up. I really like that last one, you've captured the are really well!,like the rather dilapidated house behind the railcar, sums up the area lol.:D Has Steve given any updates on the T&D stock,it will be perfect when they come out.:)

I have just uploaded a video of the line so far:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0aBNxDRyCM 3min 35 sec aprox 23 Mb

The vid follows a westbound (Down) train from just before the shared road/rail bridge over the Owneamallaght River (approx Mile Post 5) to the terminus at Castlegregory (MP6). Almost all of the background is textured, but the draw distance is tweaked out to 4 km, so there are a couple of distant mountains still adorned in only the TransDEM map overlay.

Before anyone asks the absolutely beautiful sky is Kuid:60349:21004 Golden October (CAB) by Cab - on the DLS.

The rolling stock is not T&D, it is County Donegal stock drafted to fill a (temporary) void - thanks to Ricky Sykes and Steve Flanders for some lovely Irish 3' stuff, without which the line would be pointless!

Enjoy!

Andy :)

Hi Andy
A great looking route and a very enjoyable vid I can now only hope the route is for TRS 04
Just one small point the sky you used can cause problems to some users though I can’t remember the reasons. Having said that I have no problem with it at this end and any end user can easily changes it
