Portal Problems

Anybody have any ideas why in 2004 when a 2nd train is consumed in a basic portal it crashes the program with a fatal error saying "interfacetext.chump" error?

The portal emits trains with no problem also it will consume one train then on consuming a 2nd train it crashes as above.

Have tried on different layouts always the same thing happens with this 2nd train being consumed.

Also have tried on another computer with the same problem.

Is there a bug in the portals that is causing this??

Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

Colin.

Can`t see it`s the prog, have used portals with no problems on 2004.

Just a thought, is it trying to emit a train at the time 2nd loco arrives to be consumed ?

I have tried consuming trains only with the same results.
Have also tried a new install of trainz nothing seems to work.
Why it consumes the first train okay is a mystery and crashes always on the 2nd.
Thanks anyway Blackwatch.

I cannot give you a solution Colin but I can give you hope. I had a problem with the short basic portal and the unportal using TRS2004. I could not get the second train to appear until the first train had been consumed by the exit portal. Messages in the Forum did not produce a solution the worked. Over time I just kept trying to make the portals work and eventually it happened and I have not had the problem since. Why they suddenly worked will always remain a mystery.

Thanks Dougea.
I think you are correct time and trying different things may sort this out.

Thanks again,

Colin.

I've had the same problem on one of my routes that has several portals. It always seems to happen with the same portal. I wouldn't go so far as to say it crashes, but sometimes (not always) the portal will take the train, but never emit it. Other trains will stack up waiting for the consumed train to reappear. A mystery to me.
