Pathcontrol rule, blocked mode...

jankvis

Somewhere in the layout..
I've used pathcontrol rule to guide my trains trough certain busy areas , it's a nice thing, but I have a problem...

As many of u certain are familar with it, u know there is 2 modes, blocked and unblocked. The blocked mode locks the line until the train passes trough their signals and switches...(I'm not sure the "unblocked" one does the same). The blocked one wait until the line is green and all switces are in the right state.

Ok..now my question. When the pathcontrol command is set for a path, I see all the signal turn green ( or yellow), and the switches are in the right possition all the way.

But HOW DO I GET MY OWN TRAIN MOVING???, ALL THE SWITCES I HAVE SET FOR IT BLOCKS MY OWN TRAIN TOO, STILL IT HAVE GREEN LIGHT AND THE SWITCHWS ARE SET.

can some experienced traindriver pls explain this...........

To use the pathcontrol rule with AI trains, use the Autodrive command. Autodrive to, or Autodrive via a trackmark placed least 30m beyond the last switch in the path. You can't use drive to, or similar commands throughout the path. The track permits can't be issued to the AI train, as they are already used by the Pathcontrol rule.
