Patch to44653 problems

Three times I have sent an enquiry to Helpdesk about the inability to install the patch 41844 to 44653 for 2009.
I have downloaded the patch 3 times.
Each time I get the following when I try to install:-

"Ready to install from local patch file.
Current version: 41844.

Checking for available disk space for patching.
Unpacking patch file...
Patching from 41844 to 44653...

Failed to patch builtin\1.ja, file contents do not match

Failed to apply the patch: 41844_to_44653
Patching aborted."

I have no idea what is going on and I would like a reply"

You did download the patch to your hard drive first, I hope, and didn't try to run it off the Internet?

Have you verified that this is the patch version you need?

Thanks for your reply. Yes it was saved to the hard drive and then installation was attempted. One download was automatic, the other two were manual. In each case the response was the same.
The download was described as "the manual patches for TS2009 SP4".

Download new copy of the service pack reboot computer don't start trainz turn antivirus off turn internet off install service pack,,,if that fails
Try saving the local folder in trainz to your hard drive somewhere in a safe place and uninstall trainz completely reboot computer then reinstall trainz and and service packs then get the local folder you saved earlier and have content manager scan it for all your content ,problem solved,
is there a service pack that can take you from after the installed build 2009 to sp4 build in one install, i dont know i have TS2010

patch problem

my advice is to stay with 41844 i had several problems with 44653 on 2009. you don't say which operating system you are using. If xp install in safe mode. if vista or 7 switch off you internet then antivirus and firewall it should then install
ps. make sure your power is switched to always on

I had a similar problem. I think it related to the Treez pack though I could be wrong. Check out this thread (it's round post 30) and see if it's any help.
