I'm thinking of getting TRS 2009 via Auran's web site. But before divulging my credit card number is the site encrypted from computer hackers so that no one gets access to private information?

We Use SSL Encryption on our shop pages. (modern browsers will inform you if the page is not secure and you can also check for the padlock icon to confirm encryption). We also do not store the full credit card information and all payments go through a third party regulated payment gateway to ensure our customers security.

If you buy via Paypal and use your credit card with Paypal that is probably safest. Third party regulated payment gateway have been compromised before now. After my credit card was compromised twice last year I am much fussier about where I use it these days.

Check the web address starts with www.paypal.com and you see the secure symbol usually a padlock in the bottom of the screen.

You might not even need to create a PayPal account. I'm not sure but I think this probably depends on which country you are in and which type of card you use for the payment.
