Hey Everyone. I was just wanting to know, does anyone know where to find any NZ DEM's especially around the Bay of Plenty region?

Because I am wanting to restart my NZ ECMT Mount Maunganui to Kawerau on prototypical ground (if that made sense)

Hi Johnstrains, keep at it, looks like a great effort. I built Rimutaka Incline in MSTS a few years back now - its a route-build on its own, from Petone up to Featherston. I recall Capt, Bazza toiled endlessly to get his 5 x Fell locos to power up the incline at 6mph. By the time we had finished, we were both sick to death of the incline!
Re your last edit, I was trying to visualise where your topography was.

I got a map from a mate which gives the incline as it was and i am going to do as close as i can its going into my Petone to gisborne run which is finished up Napier but also i am doing from your wellington through Palmerston across the gorge which is done too so u can go that way as well. All done from Google maps

Incline

My name is chris sullivan and I live in the south island of new zealand
when I was a teen afew mates and I use to do the Rimatucker incline tramp alot and we used to stay over night on the summet and then we would spend the night at the bottom on the fetherston side
We would take the train back to wellington afterwards so it was a good round trip.
Well you be putting this route on the DLS when you are finished?

Seeing this on trains would be a good thing and would bring back a lot of memaries for me and others I think.


I am looking for plans for a NZR DSG shunter if anyone can help please
I am going to get arraial to build this for me
so if you can help that would be great

I am currently updating my electrics for TRS2010 ( all 3ft. 6" ) and may do a version of this new Ganz scheme. At the rear side of each car, there is a TranzMetro logo with 5 x dots trailing it. Can anyone please tell me the colours of that logo and the dots - very important things are dots ! Also, is this new scheme to be the norm, or is it just a trial. Thanks.

I believe that it's is going to be the norm. As the Ganz are being refurbished and ownership changed to GWRC, they will be painted in this scheme. It also matches the SE Train, Matangi and Waiarapa train sets.

These are one of my few models which are on the DLS, or they were, they may have been made obsolete according to Auran/NeverFail policy on anything pre 2007. I am currently updating these for TRS2010, so should soon become available on Trainzone.
Now I have a question for you. I need to find the colour scheme of the TranzMetro logo and its trailing dots on the above pic which you took?

Thaks for the new pic, Bart. Thats the one. I will look into the origional Ganz livery - olive green and ivory with black front window shadow, similar to the J/ville DM above. All my models now in 3ft.6" BTW. The old DM's are still available on the DLS.
