NYCTA! pics!

I have a question myself -- where are those ceiling lights located? And also the ceiling for the platform(I have the ceiling for the track)

Thanks so much!

You know--thanks for pointing that out! I didn't even think of adding the ceiling lights to the custom station kit! I will do so in the next release. The ceiling above the platform is a different color variation of the one over the tracks. For the purposes of ease, I've decided just to go with the black version for the station kit. In my earlier post, I talked about the ceilings being part of the wall mesh now, so you won't have to manually place the ceilings anymore which is a major PITA (let's all admit it now :hehe:).

I will add in the ceiling lights as well as three versions of re-nameable station signs similar to Magicland's originals. The only difference is that it will use Helvetica font, and the lengths will be for BMT 8 car (480'), IND/BMT 10-car (~665'), and IRT 10-car (~574').

When I release the el station pack, (and probably a custom set for that too, lol), I will include el versions of the above signs.

Oh, and my three booklets of single line signal diagrams came today---so if I'm not active on screenshots or updates for the next few days, it's because of intense foaming ;)

P.S. As a kind warning, for future inquiries, please post this in the Trainz Support thread, as this is strictly for pictures as PerRock pointed out.

8 Layup Tracks
12 Storage Tracks
9 Track Maintenance Shop
1 Track Car Wash
Home to 240 subway cars
service the (1)(2)(3)(4)(5) lines

More Pics Soon!!! :D :D

I made the yard combining parts from track maps from 180th street yard, Unionport Yard, and Nereid Yard (239th Street) but since it mostly resembled Nereid i figured i would call it that, since the Maintenance shop resembles the 239th repair shop and so does the storage tracks. :) So it's kinda Semi-fictional combining parts from 3 yards

where did you get that inspection shed?

Like Malikrthr stated the Maintenance Shop is kitbashed made from

AJS Retaining Wall Portal
AJS Retaining Wall
Conc Slab 50 Meters

and i'm actually going to replace the tracks inside the Shop and add a concrete floor to make it look more realistic.

New Signals

Here is a picture of how the wall signals look when placed in-game. I'm finalizing the package right now--just a few more errors to fix and we're going to be set. This first cdp will be all of the wall, repeater, el, overhead, and normal signals. The rarer signals (2-2-1, 2-3-1, 9-head homes, etc) will be released in an add-on pack. I didn't want to make you all wait anymore to model them.

Two things before the picture:

1) You need to delete all of the previous signals prior to installing the new pack, otherwise you'll get two of each signal showing up in the trackside objects tab.

2) Those tunnels are not my creation, and they are not on available on the DLS nor are they close to being released. The developer kindly lent them to me for testing.

Signals are ready for download:

Please note you NEED to download the read me file and read the license agreement at the bottom prior to download.

Repeater signals have not been included in this set yet due to some unforeseen difficulties. They'll be included in the add-on pack that'll contain more home signals and combined ST/GT signals as well.

Andres Did you download Ace's R62 Modified Routes For Magiclands r62?
If you Did Could you make a video on how you downloaded it? Or tell me how you did it?(You Can send me a Pm) Because In one picture that you posted was showing the (13)(12) And The (9).

Good luck on the yard. Are you going to add the over running third rails.

Yes i will add 3rd rail later on as i count that as Misc.

As to Your question Fooly yes i did download his modified route textures for the R62 but i can not make a video showing how to replace them as i dont have the time and resources. But this post should help you in replacing them, i don't know if Acelejalde placed here on the auran forums. Anyways if you read the directions over and over again you'll begin to understand, took me 7 times to change all the rollsigns, and if it helps i would suggest reading and doing hands on as that is my technique. http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=492874&postcount=33

Really good work! I was going to ask how my signals were working for you--but it's obvious they're good!

Dude that is awsome!!!!!! Could you teach me how to make a yard?

There's really no way to teach someone how to make a yard--it's trial and error and imagination.

Where Did you get that track?

It's not available for release--I specially made it for another developer.

Major Developer Changes/Announcements

Hello Gentlemen,

As you know, I have been hard at work the last few months with NYCTA content, as you have seen my subway stations and official signals package released, along with the continued development of the Brighton assets, EL stations, etc. It's been a very busy time for me! Anyway, after speaking with my fellow developer BStyles on this matter, I have a major announcement to make regarding the future development of my NYCTA route.

First and foremost, I have certain documents that will now help me create the entire NYCTA system very prototypically, right down to where the signals are placed. Doing this for the entire system is going to be a challenge, but one I welcome. Also, it will make the full system take longer to complete...

...which is why I am announcing that while I am working on the full system route, I will ALSO be developing singular routes for release just like BVE does. I am doing this because A) It will be a fun, new way to develop, and B) I think it's unfair to release all this content and have you wait on the full route. To be quite honest with everyone, I suspect a year or longer to get the whole system completed trackwise/signal-wise--that isn't counting time for scenery and the like.

So, beginning now, I will release one singular NYCTA route at a time until all the routes are finished, even if the full system is done. It'll be a cool little development race for me to see which one is finished first, the 24 lines, or the full system. Anyone wanna make some predictions? :p

Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan got a significant amount of love from my first route attempt, so to appease all my Bronxites out there--the first route I will release is the (5) route, from 241 St & Dyre down to Flatbush Av; 241/Wakefield is included because it's not THAT much of an extra effort to include one more station north of Nereid. Plus, this is the first route (and only one iirc) that will include three different yards in a single route: 239 St, E 180 St, and Unionport.

Unlike in BVE, you have a choice of which tracks to take, but they really won't take you anywhere if you're trying to go somewhere that isn't part of the said route. For example, at 149 St/Grand Concourse, the (5) takes a diverging route, going up and over the (2) tracks in a sharp curve to connect to the Lexington line. If you want to go straight along the Lenox line tracks--you'll eventually just meet a bumper. Same is true for the South Ferry Loops, the Clark St connections (Boro Hall), and the Rogers Junction to the New Lots line. Also at 125 St, the portals to the Pelham line will end in bumper blocks. However, I will have the two layups south of Brooklyn Bridge, and the City Hall loop included.

The future picture updates from me will be either from the (5) route or new content I plan on releasing.

I will be taking requests on what routes to do in the future, when the time comes, so please don't throw suggestions at me right now.

There will be some updates to my content that I'll release in a few days--mostly fixes/additions to the Custom Station Pack, and some updates to the Subway Stations package [better textures and more efficient 6T stations].

All the best,

-A

acelejalde, I suggest that you buy TS12 and create the route on TS12. TS12 is the best Trainz version that allows you to use bridge/tunnel splines with more than five tracks.
