Cool signs. I was passing by the 207th street yard the other day and I noticed that they are in the process of converting the awesome R110A New Technology Train into pump cars. From what I understand, they will be able to pump water quicker than the pump trains that are already on the tracks. The R110A is like a combination of R62 and R142A subway cars. The R110A pump train looks very similar to the money train.

We're currently not using any voice announcements. The system is so big, and with an announcement prior to every station, plus for the line and destination---the sheer number of triggers and soundscript files would overload trainz and cause the route/session map to lag badly. As we've stated before, we're trying to be as realistic as we can be, but there are many minute things that we are unable to accomplish at this time.

NYCTA Trainz 12 B Division Progress Map
Recently completed the (L) in its entirety! The final segment constructed was between Halsey St & Broadway Junction
Next, I'll extend the (N)(R) to 36 St, and the (D) to 9 Av, for proper terminals on those three lines; also the (B)(Q) will be extended to Prospect Park so I can finally complete the Franklin (S).
Queens Blvd, Crosstown & Concourse are still pending, so no dates on when those segments will be completed. Also, not shown on the map, Rockaway Park, East NY, Fresh Pond, 175 St, City Hall and Pitkin Yards have been completely constructed as well. Other corridors completed but not shown b/c of clarity issues: Montague/Nassau tube connection, (G) connection between Court & Queens Plaza, and the B'way-63 St connection.

That would require a ton of sound files loaded in, and a ton of triggers. Someone on a different thread here (or another forum, I can't specifically remember) asked me the same question. The response I give is this: If Trainz's hardware could handle something of that magnitude, I'd consider it. The other problem is that NYCTA is the most complex system in the country, and even if we did the strict 24 lines, regular service, no GOs or track switches, we're still looking at a huge library and thousands of triggers. You add in GOs, and you've got a mess. If there is anyone reading this who is proficient enough in creating a sound library for an individual asset, please throw your two cents in!
A smaller system like BART or Phoenix METRO, this is entirely possible. I'm not saying NYCTA is impossible, and I don't mean to discourage--but it's going to need A LOT of logistical planning, even before all the sounds are gathered. I have people I work with on cross-platform projects who already have all of the announcements for every conceivable route & GO, so gathering the materials isn't an issue.
We try our very best to make things are realistic as possible, but we have to work within the limits of Trainz, and thus far, sounds have been left out.

At the request of Pandatrain, I show my humble adaptation of R62 style london.Is made with paint, so you can damage your eyes
I am also working with the R36 to fit the MBTA still working on.
As I was not convinced finishing style R62 Madrid, I chanced to WF R36, but I could not paint in red the side corresponding to the floor, repeating the white lines at this point. Hope you like it.
The trailer, in the Spanish railway slang "Remolque", hence having an "R", the motor car has an "M"
I tried to simulate a motor car and a trailer, the particularity of the 300 series(the model in my signature below
), the madrid metro, was that the inside of the motor cars and trailers, differed from each other.
Inside the car engine, painted in beige and red seats.
Inside the trailer, painted in bright orange and green seats.
