NSW North Coast Line

Ive gradually been updating this route which was first on the DLS in May 2011.
This was a TRS2010 Build and has had over 4500 downloads to date. The original was a little sparce with scenery as I attempted to keep
the CPU & GPU performance reasonable. Since then both CPU & GPU hardware has greatly improved so its time to get serious.

Ive added a lot of newly available scenery assets and ground textures etc in an attempt to get it looking better in the newer
versions of TANE, particularly in SP3. This section is progressing nicely.

Ive also recommenced the Grafton to Casino section of the North Coast line and have only another
40K or so to finish. It starts at South Grafton and runs the approx 100Km north through mainly
forest country. Also Ive been able to recreate a reasonable version of the Clarence River bridge that I'm
happy with.

When complete I intend to merge this new section with the original route and uppload to the DLS.
This will cover the main North Coast through to the Qld border and the now closed lines through
to Ballina and Murwillumbah.

I will also be testing the finished route in TRS2019 to see how it performes.

Hope fully by Christmas this year I can complete this work.

Thanks to all content creators and keep it coming.

Hi Peter,

The NSW North Coast Line was one of the first routes I downloaded when I first started with TRS2010. It was always a special route that I would spend many hours running it.

I look forward to seeing your updated layout when it comes out.

Cheers mate,
Roy

Hi Peter,

Well I was poking around with your Casino to Lismore line but sounds like I needn't bother. In SP3 some land had risen over track, and holes appeared and I started to add more "modern" gum trees lol. I'll wait for your version now I think. I was working on a session but the rear car of the 720/620 set has seats outside! I have notice others comment on this problem (not yours). They are an old David Owen asset. Knowing the Grafton dual road rail bridge (and Grafton) well, I look forward to seeing it all. Damn big job though!

NSW North Coast Line, that sounds familiar... Ah the route with all the sugar cane lines at one end! :hehe: I did explore the standard gauge section at one time and I too started to add more modern gum trees but was baffled by the sheer extent of the route.

Most certainly looking forward a new version. :D

Although I'll probably preserve my modifications to the sugar cane operations.
